While Triple H, John Cena, Randy Orton, Chris Masters, etc get monster pushes, WWE has a lot of former world champions at one time or another in their mid to upper cards. Most of them are older over the next few years we could see them slowly start to retire from the business.

Of the bunch, who deserves one more World (or WWE) title reign?

EDIT - It's a multiple pick poll, so you can selected as many or as few of the guys as you lil' hearts desire

well once they take the IC belt off of Flair (hopefully tonight), I could see him getting a (very) short run with it...like maybe he pulls it off and wins on a Raw, holds onto the belt for 2-3 weeks, then drops the belt back to HHH at whatever PPV is next

I think that ship has sailed. The time to do it would have been in the ladder match vs. Edge last month.

I'm worried about Michaels. He definitely deserves one more shot. He may be the best wrestler on RAW now that Angle's on Smackdown and instead he's shoved in a program with Vince.

And after No Way Out, I'm convinced Undertaker could get one more go if he would agree to show up for TV every week (which is unlikely)

I voted for 'Taker and HBK. I hate Shawn Michaels, but I can see him getting one more run out of respect. Plus, he still puts on a good show.

from that list I think Kane, Big Show, JBL, Benoit, & Booker T all have more years left in their tanks than the other guys (Flair, Michaels, Taker, & Mick).

You're right...the boat on Flair probably has gone...I could see Taker getting a month or two, and maybe even Michaels, but he's really busy in that McMahon angle. As for Mick...not a chance

I finally actually voted in this bad boy...Benoit and Kane. If they would just try it with Kane, and not a "1 day Reign" like they did in the middle of the Austin-Undertaker feud

I don't really care for Kane since they changed his gimmick. I'd like to see WWE as a whole go younger but from your list I would say HBK.

I don't see Kane being a big enough monster for getting another reign. They kinda teased it a few weeks back with him and Big Show both being monsters, but that passed by.

I voted Benoit, Foley, and Other/Angle, 'cause unfortunately he's not gonna hold it too long and I'm preempting that with saying he should get another title run even after that.
Benoit should get as many runs as long as he's still in the business because he really is that Goddamn good and puts on a better show than most of the other 'main eventers' or up and comers.
Foley, simply out of respect for the man for putting his body on the line consistantly. It's still real to me, man *sob*

I think the only people who are going to carry the Raw title for the next year are Cena and/or HHH.

The Smackdown title is a little more interesting-I've not seen it yet, but by all accounts, last nights Angle/Undertaker match at NWO was awesome-They have a situation now on SD where any of the following could have a legit shot to carry the belt:

-Kurt Angle (Current Champ)
-Undertaker
-Benoit (Though it looks like they are going to have him add some wieght to the US Title
-Orton (although I hate the way they are using Eddie to get him heat, it appears they are driving him towards the title picture with his win over Rey last night)
-Rey (yeah, I still could see them putting him in the title match at Mania in a three or four way)

As far as the IC belt, it appears very clear that Shelton is going to get another run with the belt, maybe starting tonight. They've ben having him play heel at house shows, and I think a Shelton/RVD fued could be awesome, maybe culminating in a big title match at Mania.

Anyway, we will know more after this week of TV.

Oh, and I'll bet Matt HArdy's kicking himself now that he can see Christian in the spot he was likely to have in TNA....Enjoy teaming with Tatanka.

That sounds like a great idea. I think Shelton and RVD are two of the best in-ring guys on RAW.

Yeah, but at least someone watches him now.

Seriously. Can't they just do an angle where he gets pushed into a vat of boiling oil or something?

don't go putting your cart before the horse. remember rhyno held the belt too for about 3 weeks.. they've only taped 2 weeks of TV. and i don't care how over Christian is, in 10 years, I won't remember him so he's NOT in the same class as Steamboat, Flair, Race or even Ron Garvin for that matter. (he alluded to this on IMPACT!)

They really should have given Rhino a run with that belt, but JJ is holding way too much over the booking right now at TNA, which I do enjoy watching.

Yeah, time will tell on Christian, and TNA, but their success I think is good for teh business overall, so I'm rootin for them

I voted for:

Benoit - no explanation needed.

Undertaker - any doubters should be shut up after the incredible match he had with Angle at No Way Out.

JBL - he's a perfect heel. You want to hate him so much while he has the title on his waist, and he's never dull when he's on the mic.

I voted for HBK and Benoit. Foley's one of my all-time favorites, but I don't see him sticking around as a full-time wrestler long enough to hold the title. I could maybe see him getting a tag title run for a little bit or something just to pop the crowd and make the tag titles somewhat relevant again, though. I'm not even sure who the tag champs are anymore. Did Kand and Big Show drop the belts to somebody or are they still the champs? Maybe the Raw GM can grant Mick a tag title shot with a partner of his choosing. Oh wait, the Raw GM job is as important as the tag titles lately. Having said all this, I'd love to see Mick get one last run with the title if he decides to stick around for more than a couple months at a time.

HBK will probably get at least one more title run. I think this feud with Vince will eventually lead to Shawn somehow earning a title shot through either a battle royal or a #1 Contender tournament to face HHH (because I'll cry if Cena leaves WM with the belt), depsite Vince's best efforts to interfere.

Benoit will probably get back into the Main Event picture on Smackdown by the end of the year now that it looks like he's staying. I don't know if he's officially signed his new deal or not, but I don't think they'd give him the US title if he wasn't sticking around. He's definitely going to be in the picture at some point. Even if he suddenly started sucking in the ring, there aren't many guys on Smackdown who are legitimate title contenders in the fans' eyes, so it will eventually be his turn again.

I didn't vote for Flair because I don't think he's losing anything by not getting another reign. He's held a World Title 16 times, so I think he's had his share of runs.

The rumored gimmick for Orlando involves him being bisexual. Stay tuned for that.

Jericho won't be back anytime soon. He doesn't need the money, was the undisputed champ, headlined Mania, has his band thing happening, doesn't need to take bumps and is exploring acting jobs. We may have seen his last match, at least for a few years.

Well, just to update this, Booker T moves off this list as he just became World Heavyweight Champion.

You could arguably take Big Show off as well, but I don't know if we're suppose to consider the ECW title on par with the two WWE ones now.

Sadly, I don't think any of the other guys mentioned here are even close to getting back in the title hunt, but then again when I originally posted this poll, there's no way and hell I would have thought Booker would be champ again (I think he was jobbing to the Boogeyman at the time).
