A. Trying to show they're cool, popular and/or important because they can call someone.

or

B. Can't go 5 minutes without doing SOMETHING or their tiny little brain will fucking explode so the have to occupy their goldfish-like attention span with SOMETHING.

I have a Tracfone to call OUT with, that's it. I don't want to be available all the time and I don't need to talk to someone every minute of the fucking day. I enjoy my alone time.
