I heard Hoo Hoo say that NASCAR is leaving XM after this year and signing on with Sirius. I do like the sport and catch most of the races and I have watched for many years, but I have never listened to a NASCAR race on the radio before. I am not sure how many ppl got XM just for the races anyway or if Hoo Hoo is full of shit or not.

Ronnie said that Sirius was in the process of signing Tony Stewart to do a weekly show just like Jimmy Johnson and Lil' E do now for XM.

BTW, I hate Tony Stewart, I want to see him climb a fence this year and fall on his fat ass!!!:)

Howie is right about that. This will be the last year Nascar will be on XM.

I am not a Nascar fan, but I think the second channel they have up and running on race days is cool idea. It does nothing but broadcasts the audio that is sent to and from the cars over their PIT crew radios.

I don't watch Nascar, nor could I name 5 drivers. But the most ignorant thing I can't stand is when people say "they just drive around in circles" or "they just turn left, its not that hard" or "its not a sport".

Like watching a bunch of men in spandex chasing a ball around like retards from one end of the field to another is any better. Fuck all sports.

It's physically and mentally exhausting with most drivers losing anywhere from 10 to 15 lbs due to dehydration. Add a road course to the mix and it could get real ugly.

Most of us here also couldnt hit a 98 mph fastball, or cover randy moss, or drain a 26 foot 3-pointer with a 6'9'' guy with a hand in our face, run a marathon, or go 12 rounds with Floyd Mayweather.

That's why the guys who do it are pros and we have regular jobs.

My only gripe with Nascar is that everytime they crash, they put out the flag and everyone slows down to highway speeds and catches up with each other. And it's like 4-5 hours long, which is just madness.

That, and it just really really bores me. But to each his own.

Marconni invented radio to specifically broadcast NASCAR and golf. Nothing is more exciting on radio than these two sports.

NASCAR evolved to radio when it was realized that the redneck white trailer trash followers of that sport couldn't get good enough TV reception by using a hanger for an antenna and holding on to it with one hand while they stuck a finger from the other in an electrical outlet.

The greatest day in NASCAR was when Dale died driving very fast in circles and every NASCAR fan cried and asked why. People too stupid to realize why someone died driving over 100 MPH in circles, speaks wonders to the intelligence of the average NASCAR fan.

Thats not true. Linemen talk about doing that kind of thing all the time. They will do anything to get an edge on the other side of the line. Many of them will go days before a game so they can get a worse stink.
