WrestleMania Rewind
March 6, 2006

This Monday Night on RAW, both WWE Champion John Cena and Triple H will compete in WrestleMania Rewind Matches, as they face WrestleMania opponents from their past.

“The Game” will face his WrestleMania XV opponent Kane while The Champ will square off against WrestleMania XX opponent Big Show. Don’t miss these two huge RAW matches as the past meets the present — all leading up to the WWE Championship main event at WrestleMania 22.

In an Intercontinental Championship rematch, Shelton Benjamin defends his newly won title against Ric Flair. Last time, “The Dirtiest Player in the Game” was the victim of Benjamin and momma’s underhanded tactics. Will “The Nature Boy” answer back and re-capture the Intercontinental Championship? Watch RAW to find out.

And one week after slapping Torrie Wilson on WWE.com Unlimited, Candice will make more waves by revealing her Playboy cover live in the ring. Don’t miss what is sure to be one of the sexiest moments of the year.

Last week on RAW, the McMahons forced Shawn Michaels to join the “Mr. McMahon Kiss My Ass Club” in the most humiliating fashion imaginable. How will HBK deal with such humiliation this week? And what will “The Showstopper” have to say about the announcement that he’ll face Shane McMahon at Saturday Night’s Main Event as well as Mr. McMahon at WrestleMania 22? Watch Monday Night RAW to find out.
In addition, Maria goes one-on-one with Lita.

All this and much more this Monday night on RAW (9/8 CT; USA Network).

So in short:
-HHH vs. Kane
-Cena vs. Big Show
-Maria vs. Lita
-Shelton vs. Flair
-Candice playboy unveiling
-McMahon/Michaels angle continued

I really don't like the two Wrestlemania rewind matches, but I'll watch for Shelton vs. Flair and to see what Maria is wearing.

How could you watch the Shelton match, I could never stand him, and hate him even more since his mom has been around...worst gimmick ever

Shelton's a pretty good wrestler, so I don't mind him. But I'm mostly interested because of Flair. At 57, he's the most interesting part of RAW.

How sad is that? I really think I'm just going to listen to a rerun of today's show. Screw the WWE.

Well the big news out of the show is MITB is interpromotional.

The problem is that Smackdown has almost no one they can put in the match. Angle/Orton/Rey are in the main event. Benoit/JBL are in the U.S. Title match and it looks like they're also heading the way of Undertaker/Mark Henry, Lashley/Finlay, and Booker T./Boogeyman for the rest of Smackdown's side.

Matt Hardy's probably a lock for one of the MITB spots. As far as the other two go, they're either going to have to do something like throw both members of MNM in it, or one member of MNM and one member of the Mexicools (like Mercury and Super Crazy), break up one of the singles feuds (does Booker T. really need to fight the Boogeyman?), or dip into the Orlando Jordan/Tatanka/Road Warrior Animal pool. :icon_eek:

No matter who they pick, you can pretty much eliminate Smackdown's chances of winning the match.

on a side note, I hate Smackdown...I'm picking Mark Henry to win it by pirouetting off of the top of the ladder and grabbing the briefcase

I would guess Lashley gets in the match for the requisite big man and maybe Chavo also. Actually, Flair-Benjamin-RVD-Lashley-Chavo-Hardy could be a pretty damn good ladder match. And I agree, one of the Raw guys is definitely winning, could be any one of the three, I'd hope for RVD but Flair is my pick also.

chavo isn't on smackdown, i was thinking of guys that don't have current feuds that could be in it from SD. Benoit and JBL come to mind. The third guy is tough though. Booker is stuck with Boogeyman and Finlay (who would rule in this match) is matched up against lashley. Hardy and Regal would be good but they aren't in a position for #1 contender.

They already officially announced Benoit vs. JBL for the U.S. title

My bad on Chavo, but don't forget they really don't have to be guys who are currently "in line" for a title shot. I know Benjamin is the IC Champ and when many of us started watching wrestling the IC Champ was often considered the #2 guy, but that's not the case anymore. He's not really in line for a title shot. Same was the case for Benjamin, and to a lesser extent Christian last year as well, neither of those guys could have been considered legtimiate main event title guys at that point either.

If you're going to assume that Lashley-Finlay-Booker T-Boogeyman are all out for this match because they're going to have matches at WM, then yeah other than Hardy I don't think there's another guy they can go with. Personally I could see both Lashley and Finlay getting in and working their feud into the money in the bank match.

i think u will see the 3 from raw, and hardy, Paul London and either jamie noble or Charlie Haas who is suppose to come back.. so u can see that the raw guys will win, but with hardy, london Shelton and RVD in a ladder match should be a pretty good match.. or could be a good match with some great spots..

does vince give him one final heavyweight title run. 17 times worlds champion. they better not give him the wwe championship they should give him the wcw title.

no offense dude but that might be the worst prediction ever. Those SD guys except for Hardy will have absolutely no chance of being in there. Trevor Murdoch had a better chance of beating RVD in the qualifier than london does of even being in a qualifyer.

i understand that, and im not talking about putting them in there so they can actually win... im talking about putting them in there one, just cuz its a ladder match, 2 because if u look at smackdown pretty much everyone is already in some sort of feud, and 3 because they can probably hide that fact that flair is in the ring not making it up the ladder.. dont get me wrong i dont think any of those guys should win, i just think it would make the match a better match cuz those guys are more risktakers than say a JBL or boogyman..

but chances are those guys will probably have another crusierweight battle royal or something again..

Now I think so. HHH wins the belt, fights Cena in rematches for a couple months after 'mania. Then Flair uses MITB at Summerslam to win the belt, holds it for about a month till the next PPV after Summerslam, and then Edge wins the belt off Flair and carries it until next year's Wrestlemania unless he flops like Cena.

That would see to be the way it see they're going. HHH has no problem putting over Flair, and the fact that they've been building that Flair "has one more title reign" in him seems to suggest he'll win MITB.

As far as Edge goes, he'll come off of the Foley fight(s) as big as he's ever been, and they've never resolved him vs. Flair. Plus Edge is the perfect dick-head heel to end Naitch's last title reign.

I get the feeling it'll be Hardy, Lashley, and Finlay.

London and Kendrick, and the Mexicools will probably both end up taking on MNM for the tag titles, I think. There's really no other tag teams for MNM to think and you have to believe they'll be on the show and defending the titles.

On Smackdown they Have Lashley Vs Finlay fight for a spot in the match. They don't even make it to the ring and they continue to fight through out the show until Lashley goes to flip a car over a Finlay. Never announced a winner though.
