just saw that Mexico beat Canada 9-1, does that meant the US is out??

Nope, we were only out if Mexico won by 2 runs or less, with the blow out, if we beat South Africa tomorrow we advance and the cocksmoking Canucks are out....if that makes any sense.

i wont buy a single hat or shirt. its a bullshit tourny. guys valuable to their teams can get hurt before the season begins. they should of had this maybe in january but not now.

It doesn't matter when you play it, someone will be bitching about injuries.

Beginning of the season: "They're not ready to play, they'll get hurt"
Middle of the season: "We're in the midst of a playoff race, what happens if our guy gets hurt playing in this crap"
End of the season: "Do you know how much mileage these guys (especially pitchers) have put on themselves during the season. They're banged up and could risk further injury."

I've heard this injury bullshit in every sport from All-Star games, to the Olympics, and even as far as winter ball goes in MLB. The way I see it, a guy could get hurt fallen down the stairs at his house too.

And yes, it's been a great tournament so far.

yes they can get hurt the same way during a spring training game as the wbc and i gotta admit its been a great tornament so far the atmosphere has been playoff like... that game today between us and japan was amazing... japan is no fucken joke..
