Victoria makes some pretty good coin for a chick wrestler. Cena, damn nice take as the 3rd highest paid wrestler. How much of that is merchandise?

Apparently none, because it says Trish is the only one who makes a percentage of merchandise sales.

Most over-paid=Snitsky @ $292,000. Matt Strike barely makes more than when he was a teacher=$43,000 and how do you think Doug Basham feels about Danny Basham making $4,000 more than him.

This waste shouldn't make more than 20 grand a year if that. What a waste of money.

That figure listed for Triple H is a low-ball number. They forgot to mention the weekly allowance checks he gets from his wife.

Keep in mind that where its not mentioned, all those workers pay their own hotels, travel, etc. Also, none of them get medical insurance, except maybe HHH. That, plus taxes means that a lot of them don't really pocket all that much.

Well he's not really doing much anymore, except:
Getting inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame while no one remembers Owen Hart.

Actually I think they may only reference her because 20% is a high figure, the intro paragraph says downside guarantees, bonuses and merchandising. I'm pretty sure that the wrestlers do get a cut of their merchandise, it probably just isn't 20%.

I liked Owen too. He was never world champ, but was a lot of fun. It would not bother me as a member of the hall of fame as a good story.
Eddie was an iconic figure in Wrestling, in my opinion. I disagree with putting Eddie in this early-I'd rather they waited a year or five. It strikes me as using his name to further the WM match with Rey, where they will likely put him over and everyone will forget how they've ***** Eddies name to get him there...
If you read the first post, it's salaries:

I know he was alive for part of that, and I understand your point, but Owen was a central figure for a couple of years, and died while performing. Everyone has been championing how great Eddie was, but his death was his fault. I give him credit for conquering his drug abuse, but that same abuse sent him to an early grave. I am pissed how the WWE is using this to pump up the hall of fame induction. How about these guys:
Owen Hart (already mentioned) - 2 Time Intercontinental Champ, 4 Time Tag Champ, and European Champ
The Big Bossman - Intercontinental Champ, 4 Time Hardcore champ (before the 24/7 bullshit)
British Bulldog aka Davey Boy Smith - 3 Time Tag Champ, Intercontinental Champ, 2 Time Hardcore Champ, 2 Time European Champ
Jack Tunney - President of WWE in the 80's
Stu Hart -Patriarch of the Hart family, and the most important innovator not named McMahon
Mr. Perfect - Two time Intercontinental Champ, and United States Champion
Ravishing Rick Rude - Intercontinental Champ
Compared to:
Eddie Guerrero - 2 Time WWE Tag Champ, US Champ, European Champ, 2 Time Cruiserweight Champ, WWE Champion
Eddie was a good wrestler, but I just think it was an opportunist turn to give him a place in the hall of fame with out recognizing these guys that had just a big a part of WWE history. Eddie if he wrestled at the same time as these others would have never stood a chance to have a real belt. Mr. Perfect, Rick Rude, and Big Bossman wrestled in an era where EVERYTHING was set up to center around Hulk Hogan. Davey Boy Smith was a great Tag Wrestler, and Owen was there when everything was about either his brother, Bret, or DX, Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock, or The Undertaker. Plus Davey Boy Smith and Owen Hart as a tag team were fighting with groups like The New Age Outlaws and alot of the "superstar teams" like Diesel and Shawn Michaels, Stone Cold and Shawn Michaels, and other teams involving Mankind, Kane, Undertaker, and The Rock.
Eddie to his credit fought for his bit, but he got the "lesser" belt during the Triple H reign. The Big Bossman character, The Rick Rude Character, and the Mr. Perfect Character would have had a huge opportunity in the light of the people today that have some ability, but no "real" act.
The new wrestlers have little ability to relate their bit well. Cena is proof. Eddie went through all sorts of bits including "I am Mexican and I steal." The three characters I mentioned before had way better characters than that. Hell probably the best bit for the newer wrestlers is Carlito's.

Again-I don't diagree with Owen being a part of the Hall-he was one of those guys that was always fun to watch, regardless of booking, he made it work.
I agree, WWE is monopoloizing on Eddie by putting him in now, and I disagree with it. I think they should have waited a few years, but I do believe he is worthy of entry.
I think the WWE Hall of fame is a funny little thing-the politics of it alone will make some people's entry a problem, however worthy they are-Bruno Sammartino for one. But it's always interesting to see how things play out.
To look at your list from my perspective:
Owen-should and will be in, but I think Owen's widow has had something to do with him not being in-the relationship is very poor there.
Bossman-I'm sorry, but I know's he's dead and all, but I think he stunk the place up and only had a job b/c he was pally with people.
Bulldog-a no brainer. I don't know why he's not in. He and Dynamite Kid should be in there, no questions.
Tunney will go in some year-they have to spread out names that most people don't know.
Stu Hart is a no-brainer. Just a matter of time-perhaps once Bret's in, they will have Bret induct him next year.
Mr. PErfect-it'll happen-probably next year.
Rick rude-he'll go in at some point, though I never loved his work. HE was a big personality who died young too.
I think we have to remember that this Hall of Fame is all boiled down to who Vince feels like he can make money with. It's not a real objective thing. I think there's loads of people who will go in to the Hall, but they will do it at Vince's whim and when he thinks it will make money.
If only the fans had a vote, people like Owen and the Bulldogs would be in there. But we don't so we get to argue on this board. If even there were a standard criteria, it would have more legitimacy. As it is now, its just another tool for stroking Vince's massive ego and making him bank.
I'll be watching on April 1 though.

The Owen Hart debate is so old. If people were clammoring to have him in the HOF the WWE would do it. Obviously there isn't that much outcry. This year would be the perfect time to do it since Bret is going in, and they still have a few people to announce. There is no reason to bury Eddie over it though.

Why should Jack Tunney get in the Hall of Fame? He was a random WWE employee that Vince thought looked the part of a commissioner so he got some TV time.

He was President of the WWF during the Hogan era of the early to mid 80's.

This has been circulating on many wrestling forums, probably originated from pwinsider although I'm not sure. Maybe it's accurate, maybe it's not, but then again that applies to any news going around the IWC, man.
