My understanding is that the Lazlow Show didn't end up on 202 after it left KROCK because our man Laz couldn't get a decent budget for his production company from XM. But maybe if it goes well, they can work out a friendly monthly or bi-weekly deal with a more modest budget.

All the shows on 152 are regular radio shows. Clear Channel, I believe. They're just simulcast to XM too.(much like the sports talk channels)

The Lazlow show wasn't really a Tech Show. It was a well rounded show covering a broad spectrum of topics. With a cast from different backrounds that were able to pull off an truly excellent show.

But a Tech channel would be real gooder.

It was a stream of conciousness show, with its share of off color jokes and such. His sidekick was Big Wayne, a degenerate bike construction worker who tells stories about banging homeless girls and smoking crack under the bridge. It had some tech stuff in it, but it wasn't a tech themed show at all. It had a different feel from O&A though because they never took calls, except from special guests.

It was a good show, and in a few short months it doubled the ratings in its time slot. I think giving him 3-4 hours a week is a no-brainer personally, but it seems they want to test the waters anyhow.

Thought the show was pretty good. A lot like when I first heard O&A in that I thought the show was funny, but not knowing the inner workings of the show and the people around Lazlow didn't make sense to me. If they keep the show on either daily or weekly, it'll be a hit. Last night's show really was fucking entertaining, and just as beautiful as I remembered it being. Finally hearing the show live here in Oakland was very cool.

I'm going to have to write Elo about picking up the Lazlow show with a proper budget (since the way I understand it is they could have had a regular slot on 202 already if XM had been willing to pay Lazlow's producion company a proper salary.)

I'm gonna hope this outstanding program gets the attention and airtime it deserves, and I'm certainly willing to do whatever I can to make sure the people in the position to get this show a regular timeslot and a decent budget do just that.

I didn't hear the whole show, but what I did manage to listen to was good. He did the kind of show that goes well on 202, he acknowledge O&A often, but was not sucking up or kissing ass. He just did his show, and (again from what i heard) it was a good show. I liked it.
I do hope he gets a show on XM. It would make a nice addition.

I DLed the show from lazlow.com and will listen to the whole thing. I may post it in a few days since lazlow posted it on his site. But for now get it from him. If he gets a lot of hits on that show it can help him show XM that him on XM is in demand.

If you liked Lazlow's XM show I highly recommend you go to his website and
download ALL of his episodes. I spent sunday night getting all of them and put them on my IRiver.

His show has a really great flow and he transitions from one topic to another
flawlessly. Lazlow's material is really funny and constantly has great references to things I can relate to.

I really hope XM can sign him and his boys to a contract. Having Lazlow go to Sirius would make me contemplate adding the little doggie company to my listening arsenal.

Last Saturday was the first time I'd heard Lazlow's show (apart from the bits OnA played of his old show). I found it very entertaining. The whole "crew" (if I may be so faggoty-bold to use that term) have a great chemistry. Most of us come to 202 for "the hang"-- this show was another great shoot-the-shit hang for the channel. Hope to hear more.

I was surprised, I've got to say, that OnA never mentioned Lazlow's show this past week. I kind of expected them to pat him on the back for a good show. However, Opie was trying to get to about a million topics this week so it may have been an inadvertent oversight.

doesn't look like it. I think at this point XM would rather have clear channel content syndicated on xm then go after good original content. I don't even think E-lo really cares about the opie and anthony show or channel 202. He just likes hearing his voice on the radio during the replays. If he and xm do however want to grow channel 202 they should just hand control over to opie and give him an operating budget worthwhile of hiring fresh new talent.


Who knows... maybe when XMs stock gets out of the toilet we'll see something done.

You never know, could be seeing it at some point. XM like any other company wants to have great word of mouth as thats where most of the sales are going to end up coming from. XM202 has the most rabid fans, and have been responsible for tons of new subscribers. How do you keep those people rabidly free advertising? You give them the shows they fucking want.

Does anyone have all the audio of lazlow's show on Krock ... he had it on his site but he took the files down due to major bandwidth problems. We should get the audio files and fileshare them so others can hear the magic of Lazlow, BIG WAYNE and Reed

It’s a lot of fun not knowing when your last show is gonna be. International hacker superstar Emmanuel Goldstein came on to talk about jamming the McDonalds drive through and the national code for all Fedex drop boxes. Comedian Jesse Joyce came on too. Plus we had great ominous music. A guy called in to promo his book and we pretended not to hear him. Good fun tonight.

I emailed Lazlow the other day and he said that he will probably do another saturday night show on 202 in September but he still has to get it confirmed and get everything together.
