Anyone know what the deal with this "Wrestling Underground: Origins of Mayhem" show is? It's on PPV now (no I didnt pay for it) but it's got alot of old washed up and/or ECW guys in it. So far I seen Mikey Whipwreck vs. CW Anderson, The Pitbull v. The Rottweiler (who i didnt recognize), Justin Credible (under the name PJ Polanco, or something like that) w/ Francine vs. DDP and the maine event is Balls Mahoney and Axl vs. New Jack and some schwoog named Murder 1. It's nothing special, but I was just curious where it came from, what its deal is. I'm sure some of you guys know what I'm talking about, even if the post didnt make that much sense.

It's another attempt to resurrect ECW in some form. Basically it consists of ECW guys who can't get work in WWE or TNA and they bill themselves as being "extremely hardcore."

I'm not sure who runs it, but I know Joey Styles was supposed to be involved in it before he got the WWE announcing job. But it's not very good from what I've heard.

MTV actually just taped a pilot for a new wrestling federation (called WSX) they're starting featuring Vampiro, X-Pac, Justin Credible, and New Jack among others. That might have a better chance of succeding as they supposedly have some decent money behind them. They're also going to try and go very hardcore with their product.

Yeah, it was pretty lame. New Jack and Balls & Axl had some good shit, weapons spots and all. But the other matches were all realativly lame. The announcer is that bald over the top dude, I think his name is Scott something. I was curious as to whether it was a real fed or just like a compliation of matches from little shitty venues with these washed up guys.

And on top of that, they actually have a bunch of GOOD wrestlers, too (well, X-Pac was making a comeback during the summer). They used Jack Evans and Matt Sydal (who actually wrestled each other), and had guys like Human Tornado and Puma work dark matches that won't be a part of the pilot.
