Poor Heenan. I can't understand a word he's saying.

Holy shit, the air coming off the boos for Cena is blowing his head back.

You can see the flop sweat coming off of Cena..what an embarassment

I guess I watched the webcast part by myself.

It was pretty good. Sensational Sherri went on way too long. You could hear the producer begging her to wrap it up. They cut to the Gurerro family in the audience. They looked like they were at a funeral. I don't know who the blond next to Flair is, but she has a beautiful rack.

So far the highlight was watching John Cena get booed out of the theater.

I hope the Gurerro cry fest doesn't go on for 50 minutes and cut off the real reason anyone bought a ticket to this.

I'm watching it right now on USA. Dusty Rhodes looks about one step away from death

i can't watch (no cable), so i'm assuming you mean Bret, right? they would naturally save him for last.

Gally Dooley is probably having convulsions right now.

They need to wrap it up and give Bret Hart his due respect.

Holy Crap, never thought I'd see Bret Hart and WWE linked again! Oh, is there a riff between Austin and Hulk Hogan? He didnt smile or enjoy Austin's "I had a can of whoopass with Hogan's name on it"

The ceremony was so-so. Good to see Bret finally got over all the bullshit, but the Eddie cryfest was just lame yet again.

Oh and it appears as though they're trying to start the Austin-Hogan feud up again:)

Apparently what aired on USA was only like half of Bret's induction speech.

That's all work. They've been kicking around the idea of a match between those two for over a year now.

It was great seeing Bret Hart again. I wish he would have thanked his ex-wife for being there during the whole WWF career and raising his kids. But I'm glad that he got through his speech without breaking down.

Anyone ever see his new wife...looks like he traded up.

There's not much of a work there. They really don't like each other. Austin has hated Hogan for years. Though it looks like they are flirting with the idea at least.

Bret looks like he's doing pretty good since the stroke. He's aged a lot, but when you haven't seen someone in 5 years, that can happen.

Well, I got to watch the whole thing, including the webcast portion:

-Bobby Heenan sounded better, but still sounds bad. Last I heard, his cancer was in remission. The Blackjacks induction speech was basically them talking a lot about Heenan and how tough they were.

-Greg Gagne's introduction for his father was pretty good as far as shining light on old AWA stuff, and Verne's career. Verne himself is pretty senile. He didn't really know what to say, so he took a shot at Vince, but then took it back and complimented him on building WWE into the promotion it was.

-Cena had to have been soaked in flop sweat. Those Chicago fans were fucking brutal towards him during his introduction, and he didn't help himself by doing an awful Howard Cosell impersonation to induct the Fridge. The Fridge had absolutely nothing to say.

-Ted DiBiase is still the man. And Sensational Sherri came across as some drunken grandmother type, which probably isn't far from the truth. It was funny, but for all the wrong reasons. And she wouldn't shut up so they had to tell her to wrap it up. The thing that was cool about her speech, though, was her shout-outs to the Macho Man and Harlem Heat.

-S.D. Jones and Tony Atlas's stories were kind of cool. I didn't really know a lot about them, so it was some new stuff for me.

-Hogan was so full of shit. You can tell he didn't really want to be there, or induct Gene Okerlund, and that most of what he said about him was probably written for him. Okerlund's speech was ok, but nothing really big.

-Chavo, Benoit, and Rey did a great job memoralizing Eddie. Probably the best part of the show.

-The Austin/Hogan thing is legit heat. Austin hated the whole Bischoff/Hogan group from back in his WCW days, because he felt that whole group in power kept him down in his WCW days.

-Bret looked old, but he is over 50 and has had a stroke. His induction speech was pretty much what everyone should have expected. He basically let it known he still hates everyone involved with the Survivor Series, but the Hall of Fame transcends that. Kind of cringy that Bret is talking about his Italy wife with his ex-wife and kids sitting in the front row. And I'm really surprised there were no Shawn Michaels camera shots during his speech, although there were a few Triple H shots and he and Linda looked kind of pissed especially when Bret brought up the McMahons. Supposedly they cut out a lot of parts where Bret told a bunch of stories about Owen, and Jim Neidhart. I really got the feeling from his speech that he doesn't really care about wrestling anymore, as far as being a part of it, and that even if he was on good terms with Vince, or got an offer from TNA to come in in a non-wrestling role, he wouldn't. I think the business has passed him by, and it definitely seemed like this was the end.

Anyway, it was pretty non-eventful, but kind of cool to see Bret again.

How does the Fridge even make the Hall of Fame? I thought it was a joke when they went by him on USA

yeah, i heard they were inducting the Fridge last night, and i immediately questioned, "For what? So he was in the Wrestlemania 2 battle royal, so were 19 other guys. That doesn't make them deserving of HOF spots."

i know Bret is in bad shape, but with the way things went down with him and the WWE and then the stroke, it's no surprise that Bret has no interest of being involved in wrestling in any form. it's not like he can get in the ring, his stroke made sure of that. and it's not like Bret was the best on the mic, so i don't see what he could do in a non-wrestling role.

and yes, Bret definitely traded up. i recall watching his Wrestling with Shadows biopic and saw her in their family photos and how fat she had gotten, it's no wonder he traded her in for a hotter, younger model. i will forever fear marriage because it's like giving the woman a free pass to become a fat pig.

I completely forgot that this was on...I was watching that snoozefest called UCLA vs. LSU.

So the "Celebrity Wing" of the WWE Hall of Fame is pretty much a lark...Pete Rose and the Fridge. :yuck2:

You can bet that's coming soon. I'm holding out for Mongo McMichael, though. After all he WAS a Four Horseman :icon_roll , and WWE now inducts guys who didn't even wrestle for their company.

Right back 'atcha huggy bear.:action-sm
