Hulk Hogan stated last week that he would be at RAW on April 10th [FONT=Verdana, arial][SIZE=2]. It is rumored that WWE are setting up a major angle that will revolve around WrestleMania 23 next year with Steve Austin and Hulk Hogan. Both may appear , one is definitely likely.
:icon_bigg i hope they dont fuck this angle up
i think it could be great if the work it for a year
like they did in the old days.......
(i made this poster up in the meantime.....)

look familiar?
While it's possible, I'll stand by what I've always said:
There is no chance in hell this will ever happen. Hogan will never lay down for Austin, and Austin would never lay down for Hogan.
The only way this would ever happen is if they had some kind of no decision finish where someone interferes and the two team up to kick their ass, and that would be such a disappointment after all the hype that we know would go into it.

Hogan also said they would be bringing him in the Raw after Wrestlemania for the same reason. I'll believe it when I see it.

They better have something big to sell out that huge place in Detroit.

Hogan needs to retire and be gone already. How many comebacks has he had??

Hogan may just answer my wrestling death pool by WM23

He'll retire as soon as the rafters stop shaking when his entrance music hits. It's easy money for him at this point.

It's over for Hogan it's time to get out. As much as I love Flair the same goes for him. Allthough Austin can't wrestle anymore he is at least good for a laugh every now and then when he comes on.

Hogan will not lay down for Austin and Austin has proven to be unstable and unreliable in recent years (he has walked out on WWE twice).
They can try to set this up but I don't see this ever surviving a full year.
Personally.. Austin / Hogan just sounds dull to me.
I'd much rather see Rock / Michaels.. now THAT would be a kick ass match.

agreed. when was the last time anyone saw Austin in an actual match taking bumps? he can't anymore, so he pretty much relegated to cameos during storyline/interview segments to get a few cheap pops, deliver a few Stunners, and drink some beer. i seriously doubt this match will happen.
I wonder what their back-up plan is for WM 23 once this fails...
Austin/Michaels would be great. It was done at WM XIV, but the build to that could be awesome.
Rock/Michaels would be great too, but I think Rock has said he doesn't want to work with HBK.
Or if they could work it out, Austin vs. Rock vs. Foley vs. HHH...the four biggest stars of the Attitude era. The build to it would be fantastic...it'd just be a question of who would go over in the end. Austin was the biggest star, so you'd figure it'd be him, but HHH basically owns part of the company, so who knows.

If they did that match, I'd bet on Foley winning so he could finally get that big WrestleMania moment/win he's always wanted.

AKA the WM 2000 main event? Didn't work too well that time. I think the biggest problem would be getting the Rock back, I thought I heard that he's lost a lot of weight because he's trying to get away from doing just action roles as an actor at this point. To me, a ring-ready Rock vs. Shaun Michaels is only the legend vs. legend that I would care about seeing. I don't think Rock said he doesn't want to or wouldn't want to work with Michaels, but that the idea of working with him isn't something so great that he would definitely come back for it.
WWE.com: A lot of people on the Internet have always said they would love to have seen The Rock vs. Shawn Michaels. Is that a match you would have liked to have had?
The Rock: I was never ever interested in working with him, to be honest with you. I’ve known him for a long time. He came in and worked for my family in Hawaii when I was like 13 – him and Marty Jannetty. It was just one of those things. He was always one of those guys that I said “Hey” to and he said “Hey” – it’s no big deal.
Translation: Shawn was a dick to me and I have no interest in working with him.
Shawn rubbed a lot of people the wrong way during the Attitude era.
Now as to who he might be interested in coming back and working with:
WWE.com: If you could wrestle just one more match, who would it be against?
The Rock: A guy I regret not working with, who I grew up watching, would be a guy like Sting in his prime. I would have loved to have wrestled him in his prime. And on the current roster, I always wanted to work with Rey Mysterio. I’d love to go against him with me as a heel in San Diego. I would love that. Sh**, that would be awesome. He’s just one of those gifted guys that can have a great match with anyone.
Anyway, I get the feeling we'll probably never see The Rock in the ring again, unless his Hollywood career really bottoms out.

THey had better get everything set up nice so Austin doesn't walk out the week before.
Also, I hope whoever goes over in that match puts over someone else at the next summerslam or something.
And I would love to see Rock-HBK, but I too feel that Rock is done for at least a long while.

Throw Brett Hart into the mix and let's make it a 3-way-creative-control dance.

The best part is the Roddy Piper Farewell Match line at the bottom. Jesus, what the fuck did they put that on a tape that was sold in 1999 for?
Hogan will do it if there's enough money (and he's probably trap them into allowing his daughter to perform on the show)...but he's a greedy motherfucker. This guy made $14 million a year in WCW...he's going to expect a major payday for this match...and an even larger one if he has to do the job (and paying him off with a sum so enormous is about the only way to get Hogan to lay down these days).
Austin, on the other hand, will absolutely never lay down for Hogan. He hates him with a passion and I'm not sure WWE could pay him enough money to do the job.
So they may look at it and see that to make this match happen would just not be worth the kind of money it'd cost and pass on it. That doesn't mean Austin and Hogan won't be at WM23, they just won't be facing each other.
I predict the Wrestlemania 23 card will be a Triple Main Event:
WWE Title - The Final Match of the Greatest Career in Wrestling History:
Ric Flair (c) vs. Edge
World Heavyweight Title:
Kurt Angle (c) vs. Batista
Icon vs. S.O.B. (or some equally as hacky WWE promotional tool for this match):
Shawn Michaels vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin
