A kiss means NOTHING. Neither does sex, necessarily. Tell her that you simply thought she was attractive, and after you saw her lips, wondered what it would be like to kiss them, and that is all.
Confidence, sir, always exude confidence, and you will have them waiting weeks for the opportunity to go out on a date with you.

The higher the intelligence, the greater the possibility for corruptibility. Sometimes the most innocent-looking ones wearing the frumpiest clothes are the biggest whores behind closed doors.
Remember, the very fact that SHE took the initiative to e-mail YOU indicates her interest for something more than a kiss from you.
Nonchalance and feigned disinterest is the key to approaching this. Maybe a response, of "maybe we'll run into each other at the club again" will get results.

It hasn't been that long since the Knicks have been in the Championship, it was like 7 years ago. They are in a rebuilding era.
askewcore
04-06-2006, 01:49 PM
2000 we made it. We're not rebuilding because Isiah is a jerkoff. If he would have traded for a big defensive player/rebounder instead of Stevey Francis, we'd be on the rebuilding path. The only shining light is that David Lee, Nate Robinson and Channing Frye are all nasty.
Rollins would be more impressive, but I dont think he'll do it.

Only if he breaks it. If he only hits in the first five games of the year its nothing. But even if he passes Pete Rose it'll be totally impressive. I love the Yanks and Joe D, but having the offseason is gonna do nothing but throw you off your game. Staying hot for two months is much easier.

Here wis where I like Ron and Fez better than O&A
O&A interview with heavy metal director
Ron and Fez interview with pixies documentary makers
plus alot of cool and different movies
I am way more in line with Ron and Earl about music than Ant and Jimmy

Thats the beauty of having O&A and R&F together again. They're very different shows, but both wildly funny and excellent at what they do. Back in the ron and fez.com days when they were overnights @ WNEW it took me like a month to get used to them, and I didnt like them at all first. Obviously, now I love the buddays.
We definitly need a good XM AFRO show.

I guess I'll have to agree with you about all of the guys listed here, and Wright too!
i love baseball so i pay attention to every team, no matter how bobby abreaus numbers look at the end of the year i will say that he is the most overrated player. Albert Pujols to me is easily the best hitter in the league, but i wouldnt call him the best player in the league, i dont know who is the best, it would be the guy that puts up the numbers, has a great glove and can come through in the big spots in a game, any ideas?

I'd have to say A-Rod is the best in the game. And I would have said that before he was a Yankee too. He could come through in bigger spots, sure. But his production at the plate and consistency in the field at a pretty new position is incredible. Pujols is a better hitter, but his glove is kinda lacking. And I hate Bonds.
I'd disagree with you about Abreu too, but that would be stupid since you watch him 162 times a year, and I watch him like, 10.

It's mostly the "loud, quiet, loud" dynamic of "Smells Like Teen Spirit" that is similar to a lot of Pixies songs.

the best player? Wow. The popular answer would be A-Rod, but his defense is far from stellar, and his clutch hitting (after July) is pitiful. Pujols is a phenominal hitter. I think that since he's finally set at one position it's helped him. Crawford's really good, probably underrated since he plays in Tampa. Wright is great, but still young. I guess I have no answer. How about the wild card by saying a pitcher, Santana?

Save for Eric Chavez, name one better defensive 3B in the AL. There probably really is no answer to the best player. You gotta seperate pitchers and position players though just because a pitcher is only used once every five days.

i have problems with A-rod because he does put up the numbers but he doesnt come through in the spots that make you a superstar. pujols homerun against houston that completely quieted the crowd was the point he became one of the best. I think jeter is a better player the A-rod because hes one of those guys that always seems to come up huge in the post season. if you get a chance catch a couple phils games and watch how bobby only hits when there really ahead, or way behind, if its the 9th inning and hes up he either walks or doesnt come through

Well, if we're putting that much stock in being clutch, Matsui is better then A-Rod. If the Yanks were in a spot like bases loaded, two outs and down one, or tied, Matsui would be the guy I would most want at the plate.
All this is really an opinion, there's no real answer. Your criticisms of A-Rod are right though. Late in the game, he rarely comes up big. Thats what the Yanks had in the late 90s, all clutch hitters, between Knoblauch (before he went weird) Jeter, O'Neill,Tino,Bernie,Broscius and Girardi, those guys never caved into pressure.

Maybe Shea Hillenbrand? You make a good point on the defense at 3B, but we weren't talking about only 3B, or only about the AL. I think the biggest problem with A-Rod is his lack of clutch-ness in the playoffs. What about Jeter? certainly the most important player on the Yanks.

I learned a long time ago that it usually isnt worth bringing up Jeters name to non-Yankee fans. But since you guys arent close-minded dicks and appreciate what he means to the team, you're right. He's the most important guy on the club.
And I was comparing A-Rod to other 3B because its too hard to compare the defense of one position to another. And I limited it to the AL because Scott Rolen is in the NL. And I think, but I'm not sure, that Hillenbrand plays first for the Jays now because they have Corey Koskie.

“My Grandfather used to tell me stories when I was a boy, quite terrible stories. So I’ll try to put it like he might have. I hope that it never comes knocking at your door. I hope that you never have to witness other men being liquefied or torn apart and left with gaping holes in their bodies. I hope that you never have to endure the smell of burning flesh or the shit and piss that tough guys like yourself never think they’ll leave in their pants because the reality of violence and your blockhead concept of it are a million miles apart. I hope that you’ll never have to see what it does to people and how it would live inside your pea-sized brain of yours like a repeating number every second of every day for the rest of your life. You can go to the bar… and you can drink some beer, rip off your (stuff) , throw some punches, and bang your fists against your chest. But the truth of the matter is that (the) only people in this country that have any idea of what real violence entails are blocks away in some retirement home. So you have fun at the bar. The drinks are on them.” - Matthew Good
