That was a great show on days like this. When had nothing to do for the next 3 hours and you fly around the tv and that was just coming on. That was great

Great show. I'm glad they released many episodes on DVD. I'm waiting for the release of "The Incredible Melting Man", they go on for fifteen minutes straight with solid material.

Loved this show. Disappointed it's not on some cable station somewhere. It really is one of those shows you can just leave on in the background and it's 2 hours long so you don't need to really worry about it.

Love MST3K.

I've downloaded many shows from limewire and watch them on my Treo 700 during my commute sometimes. (on a 2Gig memory card)

Sometimes there's a line that just cracks me up.

One I remember was with Gamera when the American and Japanese boy leave a Japanese girl behind and she yells something like:

"You'll see...when I grow up I'll break up The Beatles." stupid and hacky but made me laugh.

I love the show as well, I used to watch it on the SciFi channel and Comedy Central. But I can only remember lines from the movie, because I've seen it at least 20 times.

When the Cal is talking to the wormy guy in the lab while they are assembling that big machine, he says "You know what my kids would say..." "You're not my real father!!!". Ahhh... makes me crack up everytime.

And then when the proffessor from Gilligan's Island's car gets blown up by a huge red laser they say, "his coffin will be made entirely out of bamboo".

Heart's pounding, MITCHELL! Arteries clogging, MITCHELL!

goddamn i loved that show. i remember watching MST3K on Saturday nights then flipping over to Beavis & Butthead right after when i was a young lad, and it was one of the few things i could actually sit down and watch with my aunt at her house. i have the first three DVD volumes, and to this day i find myself making smart-ass comments during bad educational movies i have to watch in my college classes.

"The Pod People"(It Stinks!)

G'night McCloud!

so i gotta ask, who do you guys prefer - Joel or Mike? part of the charm of the show was that it just looked thrown together and they didn't give a shit, and Joel's references were quite obscure. but once they got rid of Joel and brought in Mike, the show started looking like they were actually putting effort into the whole thing, and i didn't like that, even though Mike's references were more obvious and pop culture-based. personally, i preferred the Joel era.

I think I only started watching it after Mike was on, maybe near the end of when Joel was on, so I don't know..I think I need to start watching it from season one some day.

bored me to death ... ex wife used to like it but also she liked "freinds" Don't you dare liken MST3K to "Friends." MST was also Comedy Central's first big hit and was the only CC show to really survive through a lot of that network's early turmoil into the later years. The Sci-Fi episodes weren't as great but they had a lot of good moments. The weirdest thing it's one of the few "family friendly" shows that are generally funny.

If some network starts to air episodes in syndication (though I know, getting rights for the show AND the movies are hellish), I am positive it will get a revival.

I loved the Shorts and the Shorts Collections. I used to be able to quote a lot of them. One of my favorites was the suicidally depressing Cheating where "A young Franz Kafka awaits his fate."

I wish I had more episodes.

"Good. I think he's great."

it does'nt matter , my stupid cable company usually has comedy central fuzzed out, I could give a shit about more channels if they cant even make these work.

this is a horrible shit movie called "Manos and the Hands of Fate"

http://www.i-mockery.com/minimocks/manos/default.php

read this whole site, because it actually saves you from committing an hour and a half to it. I was doing some fact checking and I found out that most of the actors killed themselves shortly after the movie was made.....and i'm not being "urban legend guy" check IMDB.com about "Manos and the Hands of Fate"

It`s a shame they have not replayed any of the shows on any networks since they have been off the SciFi channel. The Rhino DVD sets you get of the shows are like $59.95 a boxed set and are released about once or twice a year it seems.

I luved Joel but Mike was good too. My two favorites episodes have both Mike and Joel. I stopped watching after they changed things with getting rid of Dr. Forrester and TVs Frank and got Pearl.
Then I found some great ones in those seasons too(Final Sacrifice, Soultaker, etc.) It was nice to see that what the show was about never changed.
Got alot of episodes on tape and my sister downloaded most of the episodes so i'm covered!
I've heard they wanted to release season boxed sets but the companies who made the movies onb the show didn't appreciate thier humor. Bunch of dueches!

BTW, the actor who killed himself after the movie "Manos" released was the one who played Torgo.

I wasn't a regular watcher, but I recall that there was an episode where the actual dialog of the movie was (unintenionally) funnier than anything they could come up with so they barely commented. I may have been a Hercules movie with Lou Ferrigno. I think he kept saying "I'm from Uranus".

I watched on occassion, but line from 2 episodes nearly made me piss myself. One I think had to do with this guy trying to find a body for a woman's head. He was in an car accident & I believe he recut the head off the body he found. He put the head in a duffle bag & as he was running away from the car. I think it was Servo who said "Run OJ run".

The other was I think a Harry Hamlin movie & the were walking through a rocky valley. The line that came out was "Why don't we walk on that road over there" (I remember seeing a road in the background" Though I may be mistaken.

I bought Red Zone Cuba on DVD recently and I almost died laughing. I've been a fan since season one and that show was fucking brilliant. Do yourselves a favor and buy "Mike Nelson's Mind Over Matters", it's a hillarious book. You can read more of his stuff at www.michealjnelson.com
