Take a look at this...this is Cena's singles record from winning the title at WM 21 to WM 22. Especially look at some of the circumstances in which he won matches, as well as the circumstances regarding the handful he lost.
-JBL (WM 21: won the title)
-Orlando Jordan (Non-Title Match)
-The Basham Brothers (Handicap Match)
-JBL ("I Quit" Match)
-Muhammed Hassan (in less than two minutes in a title match)
-Chris Jericho and Christian (in a Triple Threat Match)
-Snitsky (Lumberjack Match, in which Chris Jericho handpicked the lumberjacks (who were all the heels on RAW))
-Carlito (with Chris Jericho as guest referee)
-Chris Jericho and Carlito (Handicap match)
-Chris Jericho
-Chris Jericho ("You're Fired" match)
-Tyson Tomko
-Kurt Angle and Tyson Tomko (Handicap Match)
-Eric Bischoff (with Kurt Angle in his corner in a no DQ match)
-Shawn Michaels (by DQ, Angle interfered)
-Kurt Angle and Shawn Michaels (Triple Threat)
-Randy Orton (by DQ, Eddie Guerrero Tribute Show)
-Kurt Angle
-Kurt Angle and Chris Masters (Triple Threat, No DQ, submission match, where Cena supposedly knows no submission holds)
-Daivari (in a match where Cena is blindfolded, Daivari is not, AND Daivari has Angle in his corner)
-Chris Masters (Non-Title)
-Shelton Benjamin
-Kurt Angle, Shawn Michaels, Kane, Carlito, Chris Masters (Elimination Chamber)
-Edge (To win the title back)
-Edge
-The Big Show (including FUing The Big Show)
-Vince McMahon (by DQ)
-Triple H
Losses:
-Carlito (non-title match)
-Kurt Angle (by DQ)
-Kurt Angle (Bischoff did the ol' fake submission screwjob ending)
-Kurt Angle (First Blood Match...Cena was making Angle tap out, but lost because he was busted open)
-Edge (Lost the Title, when Edge cashes in MITB after a broken down Cena just won the Elimination Chamber)
-Edge (botched DQ finish...Lita was so stupid she fucked up the ending and hit the wrong guy with the belt (it was booked for Cena to win by DQ)
For those counting, Cena's "amazing" job at over coming the odds includes
-winning three handicap matches
-three triple threats
-a submission match where he knows no submission moves
-a match where he wears a blindfold but his opponent wasn't! I mean seriously, what the fuck is up with that!
-and the elmination chamber
If you look at the stats, Cena beat the following people of note:
-Kurt Angle: 5 times
-Chris Jericho: 4 times
-Shawn Michaels: 3 times
-Carlito: 3 times
-Chris Masters: 3 times
-Edge: 2 times
-JBL: 2 times
-Triple H: 1 time
-Randy Orton: 1 time
-Kane: 1 time
-Christian: 1 time
-The Big Show: 1 time
Even when you look at his losses:
-two were by DQ
-two could hardly be considered losses since they were screwjobs (MITB, and Bischoff forcing him to tap out)
-the First Blood Match, were Cena was visibly making Angle tap when he lost.
His match with Carlito at the very beginning of his title reign where Carlito pinned him with outside interference is the only legitimate loss he's had in over a year.
And this does not even taken into account all the tag team Main Events he wrestled on RAW nearly all of which he won as well, and the very few in which he lost, he was not the one taking the pin or submission.
It's stating the obvious, but the majority of fans hate Cena because he's been setup as the most unstoppable force in wrestling since Hogan in his prime, and has been run over almost everyone in the company, and any other way WWE tries to spin it (their stupid "there's a lot of traditional wrestling fans" excuse) is bullshit. They created the problems this guy has by the way they handled him.
