Commercials You Hate

Ever since I've had DVR/TiVo, I've enjoyed fast-forwarding through shitty commercials. But there are a few occasions when I am watching something live, and there is that commercial that makes you want to bite someone in the face. Maybe I watch too much T.V., but I'm sure there are some other people out there who feel the same.

The one that got me thinking about other commercials that I hate today, was when the boys played "Crumble-vable" (no clue how to spell that shit).

Another one that comes to mind is Dr. Scholls "Are you Gellin'?" OMG. I can't hit the mute button fast enough.

All of those text message commercials are stupid. Who pays for that shit? If I wanted something as trivial as a ringtone or a joke, I'd get it for free. And you're right, the joke guys voice is the perfect example of a hack radio/announcer guy.

I too have the TIVO and I pretty much refuse to watch live tv...and if i am watching live tv on one tuner then I flip to a show recorded on tivo for 3 min during the commercial...I simply do not watch them. There are a lot of times when people are talking about something they saw on a commercial, a concert coming to town or whatever and I have no idea b/c i don't watch commercials. I go insane if i have to sit for a commercial break. I will mute the tv and look away...Not kidding here...I am not going to be their bitch.

The very first gecko ad had him sounding exactly like Kelsey Grammer. Then one day the same ad suddenly reappeared with a different guy doing the voice, that didn't sound anything like Kelsey Grammer and also didn't sound at all British.

But I'm pretty sure they've all been British-accented since then. The problem is they've not been the same British accent.

Maybe he's like Double-Oh-Gecko or something.

I saw a TGIF commercial the other day that pretty much involved 2 guys waiting for food, a hot chick with a plate of food walks by and the guys start drooling. But THEN... get this.... a fat dude walks by with food and they drool AGAIN! SO..... they weren't looking at the hot chick, they were looking at the food! Get it? HAHAHAHAHAHA!

Yech... and the sad part is, there isn't a TGIF within 500 miles of me... possibly more.

The one that gets me pissed is the one for P.A.D. which is like "You may not even know you have it" They want people to run to their doctors, thereby increasing the number of diagnoses of the disease that their drug is meant to treat. I want to punch someone in the face when I see that one.

One more to add, any fucking lawyer commercial, esp the ones that have "Paid Actors" giving testimonials, or an actor behind a desk portraying the 'caring attorney'...FUCK them.. They are just driving up costs.

Oh good, I'm not the only one. Not just hating the commercial in general, but specifically hating those exact two parts of it.

I am from NH and living in Oregon the only time I see these commercials is becuase I have MLB extra innings, and a lot of the time it's the NESN broadcast. I love all the Foxwoods commercials, but by favorite back-home one is:
