Yeah I'm sure my Posting New Threads privelidges will be revoked with posting this thread but here goes:

I remember watching this thing on TV and it bothers the fuck out of me that I can't remember what it was. So I thought maybe some of my fellow wackbaggers, withtheir extensive knowledge of all things, can help me.

So, here goes.

I saw this show, a one time episode or maybe an hour long special or something, in the late 80s/ early 90s.
It's a bunch of people, men and women, in this bunker after this nuclear war or something. There's like 4 or 5 of them.
One of them has a radio and hears other people from other bunkers calling for help.
This woman says something like "I'm going to go and see if there are any survivors" and takes off out the front door of this bunker, to everyone's dismay and protest.
She never comes back.
Pretty soon everyone takes off going to look for the previous person until there's this one older white guy left.
So he starts to go nuts, right?
And then, the last scene is the people who left coming back to the door of the bunker begging to be let in or for the dude inside to give them the code to open the door, but they're all mangled and mutated and shit. I think they say something like they're the armies of satan or something, like instead of a nuclear war, the Second Coming has really happened? I think that's what it is.

And the last line of the show is this guy outside (who is all mangled) saying "Don't worry if you don't give us the code, we have all the time in the world!"

And that's it. I've asked my husband who is a big Outer Limits / Twilight Zone fan, and have done google search after google search on Twilight Zone episode guides and stuff.

Anyone remember seeing it, and what it was? It's driving me crazy trying to think of it!

Thanks,
MiS

I doubt it. No mutants in that movie. Just fucked up people. Probably some small budget film that only got play on a few stations.

Is this the short lived fox sitcom that was about a post nucleur war United States? Was on with "down the shore" i think in 1992? Is that what you're talking about?

Thank god for imdb. For years I was telling people about Bionic Six and for years everyone thought I had three heads. Finally I can go to a website that has all the details about the show.

I don't even think it's a feature length film, maybe an episode of Twilight Zone, or .. what were the other shows like that? Twilight Zone, Real Monsters or something... and Tales From the Darkside?

Who the fuck knows anymore. Someday I'll find it.

Thanks anyway guys.

i remember the show it was a mini series, and or a two part movie made for broadcast, about how people would interact if they were cooped up in a fall out shelter, they were all vollenteers and were only supposed to spend the weekend in the shelter, the people that set it up then thew in an extra thing buy fakeing a real nukeclear strike and people trying to get into the shelter, im not sure of the name of the show either but i do remember it. the simpsons even did a spoof of it and omega man and the day after also

It didn't seem very spoof-y to me when I saw it, although it's entirely a possibility, but rather some sort of Twilight Zone-ish show.

I distinctly remember at the end with the people's mangled faces in the window of the bunker and the youngish guy trying to punch in this code to open the door, and going "Is it 0001? No? 0002? No? Well don't worry if you won't tell us the code! We have all the time in the world!" And then maniacal mutant-y laughter.

It might be listed here, but nothing stands out to me.
