Last week, it was Triple H seething after being hit with an FU, while Edge tapped out from the agony of the STFU. What will The Champ’s Backlash opponents have to say for themselves this week on RAW?

Last Monday, Rob Van Dam and Shelton Benjamin traded match proposals. Will they settle their differences this week on RAW? And Trish turned the tables by becoming Mickie’s “obsessed fan.” How will the psycho Women’s Champion respond to Trish’s unexpected behavior?

And none other than Good Ole J.R. will interview Chavo Guerrero, who quit after an emotional match recently on RAW. What will Chavo have to say now that he’s had time to reflect?

They're also taping Smackdown before RAW tonight, so I'm guessing the spoilers will be around sometime later on.

It has it's ups and downs.

I think there's some potential for RAW to become pretty exciting again. The crowds at the live shows torching Cena has made it fun to watch.

They did the Backlash press conference on their website today, and Triple H was basically reverting back to his DX face character with his comments, while Cena was getting booed so loudly (including a very loud boring chant during his comment portion of it) that Shawn Michaels walked out on the press conference, then came back and lectured the fans to shut up.

It's really getting brutal for Cena, but it's produced a lot of enthusiasm, because people want to see him lose, and it's breathed life back into Triple H and given Edge a chance to become an awesome heel.

If WWE handles it right, RAW could blow up again...but the chances they will handle it right? Their track record's not great.

I'd have no problem if the RAW Main Event scene centers around RVD (who's getting the big push up to the top level), HHH, and Edge for most of this year. Cena could make a nice wild-card too, just keep the belt off him for a while.

So to answer the question, wrestling is in purgatory right now. It's not as bad as after WWE bought WCW and did that stupid invasion angle, but it's not as good as the Attitude era (When the WWF blew up, WCW was still watchable, and ECW was still putting on kick ass shows.)

There's potential now with WWE and TNA to make fun again, but we'll have to see if it happens.
