I dunno, kids that have a tremendous amount of success when they are young usually have a very rough transition to the real world. I'd rather keep 'em grounded to reality, that way they'd annoy me less with their unhumble, know-it-all attitude.

The only flaw in these arguments is that Mark Hamill could not possibly be any worse and you fuckers loved those movies. As bad as Hamill was, I believed him in the role. His crappiness worked with the overall cheese (and the original were cheesy) of the original movies. The serial movie feel. That 70s sheen. And it kind of helped that his character was a naive farmboy. As they updated everything with new and fancy effects, and everyone was kind of all bitter, it became a bit more professional looking so the horrible acting became a lot more of a hindrance. ESPECIALLY because everyone sucked in the new trilogy.
