What is the "new" replay schedule?
Does it include the 3 hours?

I have been wondering about this all day. Will we get the whole six hours?

Oh don't worry, you'll hear the same Free FM fucking hours on the way home that you heard on the way to work.

This will definetly make more people want the Inno when it comes out. Ease of recording 6 hours a day, and if you don't want the Free FM part, skip over it and just listen to the XM part. I have a feeling more than a few of the faithful XM'ites will be doing that.

My guess 6-12 O&A live (11-12 will usually be the Worst of)
12-3 Ron and Fez
3-8 O&A replay
8-1 O&A replay
1-4 -- R&F replay
4-6 -- Worst of.

Question...how many hours does the Myfi hold? I usually record the whole 4 hours as i'm usually never able to listen from 7-11. Will I be able to record the whole show now?

They are really going to need to have two channels on XM. Giving R&F a slot of 1-4 is shitty, no different then now. I like the idea of 202 being O&A and R&F live, and say a 203 being strictly replays:
I'd run it like this:
202
6am-11am/12pm O&A Live
12-4pm R&F Live (give them another hour)
4-5pm O&A Worst Of
on certain days have say Lazlow or Patrice on from 6-9 PM
from 9pm-6am I don't really give a fuck whats on because I'm sleeping by then
203
11am/12pm-5/6 pm O&A Replay
5/6pm-9/10 pm R&F Replay
9/10PM-6am either or replay

Thats true. I dont see any reason to make it all on one channel.

Zen,
Talk stations on XM don't take up as much space as the music ones.
I record OnA and RnF at times and can get both on my..er..myfi.
That's seven hours right there.

What if they replay the XM 9-11 stuff at 3-5 then the CBS replay from 5-8
this way I would hear the XM version on my way home instead of the same CBS going and coming from work. I think this is the ticket

CTOAFan, That doesn't work because of the master computer that shuts down or starts anew at midnight eastern.
I'm hoping/thinking that the schedule would go like this:
6am-12pm - OA live (Free FM/XM only)
12-3pm - RF live
3-9pm - OA replay both versions
9-12am - RF replay
12-6am OA replay 2

Ding ding ding... we have a winner!
At least, that's the schedule that I guessed today based on the new realities. Actually, I think this would be pretty good, especially with the Ron & Fez replay moved up to prime time (9-Midnight). As mentioned earlier, the daily "Worst Of" would probably surface in the 11 AM -Noon hour with the show continuing on until 12 on really good days.

Yup - my guess earlier on fba was the same thing as medium rare. I do believe R&F said they were staying at 3 hours for now.

mediumrare,
The XM website lists R&F replay at midnight. If that's true, what this means is the 2nd O&A replay would be split in half - The freefm half would be from 9-12, the XM/Worst Of half will be from 3-6am. This is about the gheyest thing I've ever heard. There are two reasons for this:
1) Patrice's show is scheduled to run 9-12 on Thursday's. Better to preempt the 2nd O&A replay than the only R&F replay
2) O&A want drive time on both coasts. The fact that any driver on any coast will simply hear the same hour going both ways to work doesn't seem to bother them.
There are two possible fixes:
1) Make one minor tweak to the schedule: Run the O&A replay from 12pm-6pm. Someone that works 9-5 would then hear hr#3 and hr#6 in their car, and fresh material from R&F if they are stuck in traffic. As the profile for High Voltage and XM rises, I think they need to have live programming in afternoon drive. The schedule for the 2nd replay would remain the same.
2) How about that other channel we used to hear so much about with all the Golden Tickets? I feel like there's some reason the boys bothered to stay at XM besides being able to say fuck all the time.

My Pioneer MiFi will hold just @ 9 hours of talk raio recordings. I dont know if it holds less time if its music cuz all I record is O&A, R&F and the occasional Hannity

Does anyone remember that software product that allowed you to record XM to your computer as MP3s, but even stored the XM "song" data in the MP3 (e.g. it recorded each song on, say, Ethel, as separate MP3s with the proper band and song names?)
Someone just posted a link to Replay AV, but I think that's just a stream capture tool.

The extra hour of the show now screws up the replays for a LOT of people.
Like many people who work from 9 to 5, I hear up to 9 AM in my car during my 90 minute commute. When I get out of work at 5 PM and jump in my car, the replay is at the same point I left off at (5 to 7 PM replay is same is 9 to 11 AM morning). Great for commuters who work normal 9 to 5 jobs.
Now that the show starts an hour earlier, they should start the replay an hour earlier, so the timing doesn't get screwed up. Otherwise, many people will be stuck listening to the 8 to 9 AM hour again when they are in their cars from 5 PM to 6 PM.
Please fix this for all of us commuters who depend on the show to get us through our miserable lives.

My question would be, what happens overnight? That is the only time I can record on my MyFi and still have it with me during my morning/afternoon commute. Anyone else with this issue?

ron fez is on 12am-3am...
who knows what is going on from 3am-6am... a repeat of either CBS or XM's 3 hrs I guess?!
either way, the best time to record the show is 6am-12pm or 3pm-9pm

202 is an exception. It's in stereo sound. So basically it's the equivilant of a music channel.

Not true. If I record music at night, let's say Squizz, I get just over 4 hours maybe 5 recording time.
When I record O&A I can fit 2 full shows (8 hours) with no problem.

I am 100% with you. My ride to work is 7-8, my ride home is 4-4:30 (yes i know that looks wrong. Fuck school buses). So the ride home from work? Same first half hour of my ride TO work. I need to ask my company to relocate my desk to another department on the south side of the building so I can record the XM show on my MyFi.......

The XM replay sucks ass..it should be from 4-7 or something. When I'm (and the majority of people) are driving to and from work I'm going to hear the same CBS show. I haven't heard the show yet but this must change NOW!!! ELO work on it.
Yeah CBS gets mornings and afternoon drive...way to fucking go!!!!:icon_evil

The replays are set up in a way that people who work 8 hour 1st shift days will be hearing the same thing going into work that they will on the way home. This includes me.

a replay starting at 3 would work out fine for me, just as it does now. with them starting at 6, i won't start listening till i get to work at 730, and being in cleveland, the free radio doesn't air till 3 pm anyways and run till 6, so i get the first half of the first show then. i'm sabisfied.

Question...how many hours does the Myfi hold? I usually record the whole 4 hours as i'm usually never able to listen from 7-11. Will I be able to record the whole show now?
There is a glitch in the MyFi software that will let you schedule up to 10 hours.
Here is how to record all 6 hours of O&A
Step 1=Schedule session 2 to record from 11-12. Either once or every day. Back out of the menu.
Step 2=Go back into session 2 and set it to OFF.
Step 3=Schedule session 1 to record from 6-11 every day.
Step 4=Enjoy 6 hours of O&A (assuming they go to 12pm).
Even though you turn off session 2 recording, it will record anyway.
Note: The amount of recording time you get depends on what channel you are recording. Music only gets around 5 hours. Talk gets around 9 or 10.

To whoever was looking for software to record the show on your computer, I use Replay Radio. It will record the XM stream and save it in a variety of formats.
You can even split the show up, in say 60min chunks, or just record the whole 5 hours straight in one mp3. Allows for varing bit rates to.
Been using it for a year and works great. Check it out.
As for the replay schedule, what happens from 12-6am?
Thanks
