I love ya Opie, but i gotta say this movie sucked. Sucked.

Please tell me you were watching it because it was funny Op. I mean some of these guys where such tools. I have never before felt such contempt for the crippled. I was reminded of any child on Maury saying "I'm just a normal person".
The arrogance of the coach that switched sides was just amazing. I wanted to spit on his shiny pate.

And violent. I have never seen such a group of violently adjusted gimps. One of the guys...the main guy that is soooooo tough and on the front cover of the movie...started talking about a time in high school when he tripped a guy and beat the shit out of him. I am a martial artist, but I think this guy would beat me. As a martial artist, I can handle myself one on one in almost any fight, but I still cringe when a big dog barks. We have instinctually inside us a fear of barking dogs. Its a primal sound made to scare creatures off. Now...if this half a person attacked me, I would be so skeeved out that he was touching me that of course he would beat the shit out of me. Talk about cringe.

The thing is for all their arrogance, you can render them impotent with the mere act of stepping onto a curb.

I didn't make it through the whole movie. But a couple things really made me laugh. There is a scene with all of them sitting around and they start making fun of one of the guys because he likes shoes so much. These momo's are making fun of him because it's feminine to like shoes. How about the fact that he likes one of the pieces of clothing that are completely useless to him. Picture Black Earl saying he loves work gloves.

Another guy was one of the newly paralyzed. During the story, they were talking to his mom, and I had to laugh out loud. His mom said "He always loved wheels." LOL You loved wheels? Well now you got em for life. Should I be feeling sorry for him?

The movie has tons of little notables like that. I will more than likely watch this movie again sometime in order to try to catch some of the others. It was like the director was making a secret joke to us. I think it's not a documentary, but a Docu-Comedy. A new genre.

And they kept saying how impressed people were. Well, you want to impress me, snap your fingers Useless.

I actually thought that murder ball was pretty good. But, he did say he loved that fucking Kurt Cobain movie Last Days. The Worst fucking movie I have ever seen in my life. There were scenes of him staring at walls for 5 fucking minutes.

I know most of these guys. They are actually really cool and extremely humble. Your perspective in life can change dramatically in the blink of an eye, whether it be from a roadside bomb, an automobile accident, or just being as drunken idiot. The real arrogance comes from threads like this, it stinks of it.

Wait, it's a DOCUMENTARY? You mean there's really gimp rugby players out there?

What's next? The midget NBA?

Paralysis is usually an injury you get from PLAYING rugby, not a fucking favorable body condition for consideration for a team, or some shit.

Jeez I'm sorry man...seriously...

I made fun of them cause I hated the movie. I don't know them, and they are probably doing a lot better than I ever would. I wouldn't run up to them to tease them.

Okay, dude? You're on Wackbag, not some "I'm a Gimp and I play Rugby, Feel Sorry for me" message board. I'd say this thread is mellow compared to some of the shit I've seen on here. Need I direct your attention to the L'il Markie song? The many jokes about Scott from Modesto and Lil' Conner? The Bizarro forum? Krinkle Krinkle? So don't be all sanctimonious because some people are making fun of a retarded movie and a bunch of rugby playing gimps cause I know you laugh at a lot of the other sick shit on here. Don't be a hypocrite.

Yeah, sure, they're great guys. They probably have beautiful souls and big, giving hearts like the Grinch after he saw the Whos of Whoville singing. But goddammit, what are paralyzed people doing playing RUGBY?

And it doesnt matter if they're wonderful humble people. THE MOVIE? YEAH, IT SUCKED.

what are paralyzed people doing playing RUGBY?

For the same reason returning vets who have lost their legs in combat join adaptive skiing and handcycle clubs. They are trying to resurface out of the darkest fucking hole a person can be in. What would you like them to do, just sit in their chairs and feel bad for themselves? If I'm guilty of being a hypocrite, so be it. The subject hit home and I felt the need to say something. 99% of the time I'd be laughing along with everyone on this board, this is just 1% of the shit I can't laugh at anymore.

Okay I guess I just can't wrap my brain around wheelchair rugby.

My neice has Arthrogyposis and is in a wheelchair for the rest of her life, with no use of her hands, her fingers, her feet.. the only joints she can move is her neck and her hips, and that's only after 30 surgeries. I don't expect HER to sit in a wheelchair feeling sorry for herself. She's an A student in the National Honor Society, Salutatorian of her class, going to the University of Alabama on a full scholarship. So it's not like I'm just being an asshole to people in wheelchairs. I'm ALL FOR equality, and shit.

But tell me, RUGBY? I just can't see how it could be adapted for people in wheelchairs and still be as entertaining as regular rugby. And you getting all bent out of shape for people "being arrogant" by saying the movie sucked is ridiculous. We're talking about the MOVIE, not THE PEOPLE.

That's all. I'm punching out now.

The one percent is when you STFU and listen.

the fact that you like 99 percent of comedy and 1 percent is too far makes you a major hypocrite. Every time you laugh at something vile, you are saying that those people you are laughing at are lesser than paralyzed people.

I didn't go to these guys website and mock them. I apologized, and you didn't see it, or ignored it, so screw it. I'm not going to post here worrying about who is reading what. I wrote in the style of the show, because this is a fansite for the show, and this movie was suggested at the show.

How many times have you heard lil Jimmy make fun of wheelchairs? How did you feel then?

Besides, I'm WAY to careful of my mobility. Not my fault these guys played craps with thier nervous system and failed. At least they are in a movie.

I read your post, just didn't have a chance to reply at the time. Sorry you took it to heart. You said some shit I didn't agree with and I responded. It's pretty much that simple. You can play the whole hypocrite card if you want, that's cool. I've probably been guilty of it in the past. If you honestly think I'm the type of person that takes offense to any negative comments about people in wheelchairs you got me all wrong. I know a lot of dudes who were just like you and me, but got fucked. Call it unlucky lottery or whatever you want. It just blows and I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. And when you know most of these guys on a personal level and you understand the shit they've been through and someone calls them arrogant and mocks them...shit. Sorry, but I felt the need to say something. I could care less about your take on the movie. Anyway, enough of this bullshit.

I hear that man. I'm new here, and my post's tend to be very tongue in cheek. I can understand you thought I was serious.

Seriously though. If any of those guys read here, or saw my post, it was all meant in the mean spirited sort of fun that they weren't meant to see. I wish nothing for the best for them, and I reitterate that I would not achieve half of what they did.

I don't think they are really arrogant, BTW, I think the movie was trying to make them look a certain way, confident, but it was edited poorly IMO.
