I don't listen at all, but my impression is that 'Jack' format was *everything* - the principle was that it was sort of like having an iPod's playlist on the radio - but only playing what THEY want, obviously...:icon_wink

I got a "not likely" from the guy. Remember, this is the same station that changed the call letters to KHWD (Howard 93.7) when Howie was the only talk show on the station. The problem I see is there are no other CBS stations here that O and A will fit into.

PS. The boys are a proven winner in Sac. Jack is pulling a 1.5 rating here. 21st place overall and last among the CBS stations. Make sure Jeff McMurray knows this if you send him an email. jeff.mcmurray@cbsradio.com

Jack Format = almost 100% automated.... in fact I think the station is running in the back closet on another CBS station in town. Here's the CBS stations in SacTown.

100.5 Is Lame Adult contemporary...

They do air "loveline" at night.

Sadly the best fit would be 98.5 (KRXQ) Format wise... it's an Entercom station though... and home of Rob, Arnie, and the Hole.

98.5 wouldnt switch they have no reason too with rob arnie and dawn, they are number 1 in ratiings u dont pull a sure thing for them. 106.9 is now owned by entercom also but playing adam corrolla, well they were im not sure if they still are. the jack off station could still put them on in the morning like they did with howard, jack didnt work when 106.9 tried a simular format and they where a good station untill entercom bought them. i know alot of people hate kidd chris but i liked him when he was in sac, if they did ona in the morning drive then kidd chris back in his old time slot tape delayed that would be cool. afternood would be ok but who listens at 11am .

ps where do u get arbitron ratings from for sac area?

I know that all of us here have XM right? BIG FUCKING DEAL! We need to hammer these fucking stations until they realize what they're missing and put the boys on. Anything less is a failed effort.

I have personally emailed everyone at these Sacramento stations and have called 3 of them. They had a huge following here and our job as pests is to make it happen again. I'll keep sending in email under different accounts until it works.

Right now O and A are being launched on the six east coast stations that carried Roth..CBS does not own the syndication rights...we'll keep an ear on the show and see how it plays...it would be a better fit if they could be live.

Greetings Jeff,
Though the Opie And Anthony show is only launching on the east coast as of now, the fact remains that they have a huge Northern California fan base. With that said, it would be great to hear them again on the station that we all grew to love them on.

Please take my request into consideration as I'm sure that many of O&A's Sacramento area fans feel the same way that I do.

Yep, I don't see anything wrong with 3-6 AM as a start in Sacramento. They have the "Rise Guys" that I think go from 5-9 AM on that station.
