'Lost' Star to Serve Jail Time

An emotional MICHELLE RODRIGUEZ apologized in a Honolulu court Tuesday -- the "Lost" actress pleaded guilty to one count of driving under the influence.

The star, who had the choice of doing 240 hours of community service or spending five days in jail, opted for the latter. She will also pay a $500 fine.

On December 1 of last year, Rodriguez and her "Lost" co-star CYNTHIA WATROS were in Hawaii driving separate vehicles when they were stopped by police on Pali Highway, which connects Kailua and Honolulu. Upon allegedly failing sobriety tests, both were arrested and later released on $500 bail each.

I do applaud her decision though. Any community service would have consisted of her being blackmailed into doing public service announcements and speaking about "the dangers of alcohol" to schoolkids. What a load of shit that racket is.

I agree, 5 days in jail over 240 hours of service 100 times out of 100. My buddy got 50 hours community service and it took him a month and a half to do it, 240 hours would take most people a year.

shit I worked for an ambulance service that had "criminals" come do community service, it was a crock of shit. They would come in for like 2 hours sweep the joint wash a few ambulances and get like 5 hours credit or more. I'm sure 5 days in jail in Hawaii aint bad though.
