anyone remember Beaver Cleavage? Also the DDP/Undertaker angle during the WCW invasion ended Page's career. They had him stalking Taker's horse faced wife even though everyone knows DDP married an 11.
The Invasion angle as a whole. It turned me off wrestling for probably almost three years, because it was just so bad, and I got bored with the all of it.
You buy out WCW and ECW, and basically have every star in the business under contract, and you can't produce good TV.
Biggest failure in wrestling history.

I agree. It turned wrestling upside down in the beginning because no one knew what was gonna happen next, but then it tangled itself up way too much with the backstabbing and basically 2.5 years of NWO wrestlers in matches that ultimately ended with the entire NWO finishing it.
TNA has lame storylines and scripts, but the action is fantastic.

Remember the G-TV angle with the hidden cameras? I don't believe there was a conclusion as to what that was all about.
Here ya go:
Kevin Schafer of Mount Pleasant, Pa. asks
On Raw, we never got to see the finish of the "G-TV" gimmick. How was that storyline supposed to have played out ?
Ed Ferrara answers
Originally, GTV was to have been the harbinger of the return of Goldust (with him working unseen to stir up trouble with the rest of the roster prior to his return). We then had some problems with USA Network over bringing the character back, as they felt he was a bit too controversial for them (gimme a break)... so we then opened up our thinking to figure out who else it could have been. One possibility we kicked around: At the time, Tom Green was very hot on MTV, and we were trying to see if we could bring him in to stir up a bit of more mainstream publicity, but that never worked out. On the bright side, the angle was abandoned before we were able to go through the list of talents with a "G" in their name before we got to The Gobbledygooker.

They're teasing it...no one knows if they're actually going to reform it or not. What ever comes of this, it's going to be a very long, drawn out process, before anything happens since so many people are interested in it.
I personally think they're going to reunite and then five seconds later HHH lays out HBK with the sledgehammer because "He's the King of Kings and he bows to no man." sparking another round of HBK/HHH matches.
Not exactly an original idea...but that's what WWE does these days.

It's really something I'd have to see to believe.
And honestly, another reason I don't see DX working...is HHH going to play second-fiddle to HBK again? I can't see that either. And something just won't be right about HHH leading the group and bossing around HBK.
The thing that made the gimmick work is that it was basically a reflection of reality at the time. Shawn was the biggest prick in the world, and had so much control over what happened in the WWF. And because HHH was his friend, he was brought along for the ride.
If it's not going to be done right, I'd rather not see it done at all.
On a side note, I wonder if they'd bring back any of the old members. Obviously, Road Dogg and Billy Gunn are signed to TNA which makes that impossible. And Rick Rude is dead. And that chick Tori didn't play a big enough part in the group. I honestly wouldn't remember her at all if I hadn't watched Wrestlemania 2000 lately.
But X-Pac is still floating around out there. Chyna too. Or I wonder if they'd add new members.

Wasn't Rude in DX for all of five minutes and then went turncoat and appeared live on Nitro at the same time as the taped Raw appearance? I couldn't believe my eyes on that one.
Now from what I hear, Xpac is friends with HHH and Vinnie Mac and the latter has been known to help his old friends out who were in dire straits, Tony Atlas being one of them and addicted to crack. He helped Jake the Snake out a bunch of times and put Xpac in rehab. I could see him coming back, but he's not a big draw. I could see Chris Masters in DX, but he doesn't seem like such a prankster, which was what made DX so great.

I don't know how much more juice they could get out of another round of HBK/HHH matches. The ones they had were brutal and they ended it with the Hell in the Cell. I pray the WWE doesn't fuck this up and actually gives the fans what they want.

Unless you meant the manner in which WWE exploited it. Should that be the case, I say ok then.
:)
DX will be back-HHH and HBK will link up and hopefully give someone new the rub-apparently, according to pwinsider.com, a Canadian TV network released an ad that had that as a spoiler-it's since been pulled. Check the site if you're curious.
I don't see Sean Waltman doing much more than a one-shot unless HHH really wants him-Waltman is pretty fried from all accounts. I think you'll see Moses and God showing up to save the Boogeyman before you see Chyna in WWE again.
Watch TNA impact tonight!

I didn't think of that but holy shit, if they have Masters in DX I'm going back to not watching. Mostly due to the Raw thread on hear, I've recently gotten back into watching and being slightly interested again. Masters in or Xcrap comes back, I'm punchin out. Fuck that bullshit. Masters has the charisma of Earl in the 'NEW days and his finisher is a fucking full nelson.
Worst storylines.
Invasion was truly awful.
But, worse then that was the whoe Chuck and Billy thing.
The Mega Powers
Are you crazy? That was one of the biggest feuds of all time. Savage fucking ruled during that whole thing, and if Hogan wasn't such a selfish cunt, he would have put Mach over at WrestleMania V to carry the WWF into the future instead of holding off and then putting over quite possibly the worst 'star' wrestler of all-time the next year at WrestleMania which turned out to be disastrous for the company.
But the Mega Powers build was quite possibly the best thing the WWF had ever done at that time.
Even the match was great...it probably is the greatest in-ring performance of Hogan's career (at least that I've seen) and probably 95% of it is Savage making him look like a million bucks.

The fact that they never gave Ernie "The Cat" Miller a chance.
I am intrigued where WWE is going with the whole ECW thing.
First, a house show's booked for the ol' ECW arena, and it's billed as an "ECW house show".
Then, RVD wins "Money in the Bank", and the ECW One Night Stand poster has the briefcase incorporated into the promo flyers.
To top it off, they sign a shitload of ECW talent.
Why don't they just come out and say they're reforming ECW as a full time fed with a TV show and get it over with?
I WANT ECW SATURDAY NIGHT!

ECW would kill TNA, but at the same time, making it full-fledged would make it less special and less legendary. Only one fed is getting lame and tna isn't great enough for me to watch, like post-steroid lex lugar and christian hypocrite Sting who left wrestling because it was not the christian thing to do, even down to his facepaint.

I was never a big fan of Sting, but he really pissed me off when became a born again Christian. Especially after hearing, how he told his wife about other wrestlers cheating on their wives and she turned around told the wives.

come again? Hahahahaha...I'm sure the other wrestlers just love Sting. He's washed up and a fucking bore. I love how all 50 years old of him walks in and everyone scatters like cockroaches because he's so fucking scary and invincible.
The other TNA wrestlers hate these new big names coming in because they're getting more money than the original guys that built it up.
Any storyline involving Scott Steiner blows.

Rick Martel. He was a fantastic wrestler until he made a joke out of himself, but the gimmick kept him working and out of WCW.
Anyone remember Mike Rotundo before he went IRS? He was a great wrestler, but then went the way of the Brooklyn Brawler. Total fucking joke.
Then there was the destruction of the Road Warriors/Legion of Doom at the hands of the WWF. I wonder what the real story behind all of that was.
Personally, I think they jumped the shark after Paul Ellering left wrestling as he was the one that made them look good outside of the ring. Then Hawk died.

I have to agree. Too many title changes and wrestlers jumping ship stunk.
What I dont understand is why they expect us to forget storylines that happened in the past and act like they never happened. For example, at No Way Out, Tazz and Cole said that Kurt Angle never tapped out in his career. That's Bullshit. I was watching Backlash 2001 earlier and watched him tap out (more than once) and lose an ultimate submission match to Benoit.
