Yes, he is the US champ. His title isn't on the line.
I had had high hopes for this card, because Smackdown's been kicking ass for a while and their last single brand PPV (No Way Out) was awesome.
But with both Angle and Orton seemingly off of it, they're going to have a hard time getting me to order it.
Rey/JBL isn't a bad match. But the rest of the rumored card...well, you decide:
-Rey Mysterio vs. JBL (World Heavyweight Championship)
-MNM vs. Paul London & Brian Kendrick (WWE Tag Team Titles)
-Super Crazy vs. Gregory Helms (WWE Cruiserweight Title)
-Undertaker vs. Great Khali
-Booker T. vs. Bobby Lashley (King of the Ring Finals)
And there's absolutely no feuds really going right now for guys like Benoit, Finlay, Regal. If they throw them in a World Title #1 Contender's Match, with the winner getting a shot next week on Smackdown after the PPV, then they might have something. But my interest in this card is pretty low if this is what it's going to be like. I just wonder how they're going to work Mark Henry in. I hope to god they don't throw him in the World Title match and make it a Triple Threat. But it's either that or maybe Batista or Angle come back to face him in what is sure to be an awful match.
Can't be worse than Backlash, though.

-Undertaker vs. Great Khali
Undertaker challenges Khali. Khali signs the contract (I couldn't understand a fucking word that he was saying)
