I'm getting "married" on Monday so that my girlfriend can get citizenship and help her out with her career and make life easier. We've been dating for 3 years btw. This is where things get kinda weird.... she's originally from Malaysia and her parents are Muslim. Supposedly, a Muslim can only marry a Muslim.... so, for the sake of arguement, I said "Ok... fuck it, won't change my beliefs but fine... I'll convert." I actually laughed when she told me I had to convert. Anyways, I'm just curious if anyone else has ever converted to another religion and what it acutally takes. Is there some test or what? Maybe it just takes a higher up in the muslim world to say "Ok... allah...blah blah blah," says a lil' prayer and I walk out of the mosque... or whatever the fuck they are.
