That was the most predictible ending ever. As soon as Ryan offered to drive her to the airport I said "car crash, death". Why wouldnt have ryan just slammed on the brakes? I never understand that when people are in car chases like that.

This show has been going down hill since the end of season one and this last season was an atrocity. The thing with Brown was just plain stupid. Summer the airhead gets in over seth the nerd? Come on. This time next year you will be talking about the Series Finale.

And dont knock taylor. She was the only bright spot with the whole season. HEr line last night when she talked about her 3 way with the 2 koreans, "brings a new meaning to the term Korean BarBQ" was the highlight of the episode. I had to rewind it just to make sure they really let her say that. Hilarious.

this finale wasnt as good as last years but i still liked it. i dont think ryan will be blamed but i do want to see whats going to happen when he explains its was volcheck and then volcheck tells everyone about the stealing the car incident.. poor ryan.. always in trouble.

and its rumored that they didnt mind killing marissa off because there will more than likely only be one more season so.. not a big deal.

Here is what happened in the episode...
-Seth fessed up to his parents that he set the Law office on fire. The mom thinks it is the best thing that could have ever happened (A recurring theme in the episode, that a bad thing turns out to be the best thing)
-Sandy and Seth make up and what not. They are pals again
-Ryan's mom comes for the graduation, and gives ryan a car, an early 90's toyota land cruiser.
-Katlyn returns and has one of the best lines ever...

K- well, you know, since my grades went from B's to A's I was wondering if you could change my A's to B's (Points at her mosquito bite tits)

-Marissa's dad sends her a letter inviting her to become a memeber of his yacht that is sailing from hawaii to the greek islands...She decides to join him and put off college for a year. Everyone supports her decision. Her mom gives her a pearl necklace (NO NOT THAT KIND) and remarks that maybe she can use it to pay of pirates
-Volcheck is acting more toolish than ever...He tells ryan that he needs to get out of town b/c "THEY" stole a car worth $120K and if ryan doesnt give him cash to get out of town he will turn him in and ruin his life.
-They all get together for a post graduation dinner at the Cohens and sandy gives a rousing speech about family yada yada yada
-Marissa reveals that she is going to sail w/ her dad...It turns out Julie and Katlyn already knew, that is why katlyn came home. her dad told her julie needs a daughter to raise now...
-Volcheck is stalking marissa now, and spying on her at the party. He calls her and tells her that ryan stole a car w/ him. She goes to ryan and he explaines and she decides to pawn the pearls to pay of Volcheck
-Sandy goes back the Public Defenders office to work out explaine that the fire was an accident...he shoots the shit w/ the new guy..."THis was the best time of my life working here"
-Seth gets accepted To RISD RI school of design
-Ryan drives to the pawn shop and marissa insists on coming. On the drive he asks if he can drive her to the airport she says she was going to ask him to drive. THe pawn the pearls and go to meet volcheck. Marissa waits in the Toyota...Volcheck takes the cash and then asks where marissa is...Ryan heads for the truck and they speed off w/ volcheck screaming "Wait, marissa I just want to talk" and then he gets pissed...
-Ryan Seth Marissa and Summer all are planning to go to a post graduation Party...then they decide to head to the rebuilt model home that ryan burned down his first week there...they have a good time swimming, reminiscing and saying goodbye..
-Sandy tells Kirsten about his trip to the Da's office. They are not going to press charges and he said he is going to become a PD again...They get it on in the kitchen b/c it is an "Empty nest" now...
-After the fun at the Model home Ryan and Marissa leave to drive home. Volcheck is In his van w/ some chick getting hammered and stalking them. As they drive off he speeds after them. He catches up and begins ramming them. Ryan, instead of slowing down or stopping, speeds up. They race down the hilly road and Volcheck rams them off a turn. They roll over a bunch of times and land on a lower road. Ryan wakes up, and looks to the side to see marissa unconsious (Interestingly they no longer have seatbelts on, even though they clearly had them on during the chase) Ryan kicks out a window and gets out of the Toyota and sees flames on the chassis...So he drags marissa out and carries her away. He sets her down and the car blows up as music plays (No explosion is heard) he then tells her to hang on, he is going for help. She says "Don't leave me ryan" and then dies. The show ends with a flashback montage of ryan first seeing marissa when sandy picked him up and she was standing on the curb...Fade...

WHEW...I am a tv nut!
One thing that i found interesting is i read in the tv summary that sandy was supposed to have a heart attack.. I guess that was to throw us off...
