though heres something, like how can we decide whether a trailer is giving something away, because my belief is that if its a mainstream movie being remade like Posiedon, people already know what's going on, so what's the use? then again, (as i'm a star wars loser) what about episode 3 last summer, Darth Vader was in all the trailers, giving away the end of the movie, but then again it was a prequel, so thats my thing, does it really matter what the trailer has in the case of a remake or a prequel?

I've always believed the eccentricity adds a certain element...mystique if you will...to a band. I can't put my finger on why.

It's one of the reasons I love the Smashing Pumpkins so much as well. You'd be hard-pressed to find a more eccentric, self-indulgent asshole than Billy Corgan yet it absolutely fuels the music, which is great.

That band's reuniting, by the way...new album should be out at the end of this year.

The first half of the 90s was good but not the second half. Some great bands around(Nirvana, Alice in chains, bunch of others), good movies and stuff.
But not the second half. Boy bands, reality TV, everybody sounding like Pearl Jam(Would ya?), Hootie(the Burger king guy!LOL!) and other crap. Between the years of 1985 to 1995 I could listen to the radio and not have to change the channel. After that.....thank god for XM!!!

Pearl Jam is great. Havent got into the new album yet, but Ive only given it one listen. Sounded good, but didnt hit me. My favorite remains Vs.. Goddamn does that album rule.

I agree about this decade sucking, to a large extent. The trends are sickening, particularly among youth culture. The obsession with celebrity (Paris Hilton, the Gotti kids), the music - rap in the first half of the 90s was incredible. Now its the same production, same subject matter, same rap styles, and same video and none of its good. Rock is anemic, especially in its current "emo" stage. 9/11 was a bummer not only because of the obvious reasons, but for the many cultural and political effects its had.

Maybe its just that everything seems better in retrospect, but the 90s really did seem like a much cooler time in almost every way.
