Confessions of a Vos convert

I used to hate, no DETEST the shows Rich Vos was on. If I knew in advance, I wouldn't listen. When I heard the phrase "Rich Vos in studio" I would get sick. When li'l Jimmy left for 3 months I was scared to death at the thought of Rich sitting in. I hated him and I hated that hole he married.

Well... Now I'm his biggest fan. Not only has he killed the past few visits I think Opie is right when he says things like "we bust on Vos pretty hard but his stand-up is incredible". Once I started appreciating his comedy, it took his visits to a whole new level. Thursday was probably the funniest show they've had in weeks, thanks to Rich Vos.

C'mon you Vos haters, give him another chance.

Vos is a great example of the duality of man...

He exhibits great confidence in the things he sucks at and has little confidence in the things he is good at.

He's funny as hell, but offstage he's funny when he's not trying to be...

I still break his balls at every opportunity, but the guy is pretty god damned funny. And on top of that, one of the nicest "celebrities" you could ever hope to meet.

I was never really a fan of Vos either, used to just cringe through his appearences on the show, but after listening to his Starbucks routine, I am going to go see him the next time he is in Boston

i've seen vos six times 3 times in the past 5 months and he has killed each time. his act is pretty much the same thing, but when he goes after a crowd, god damn he gets hot.

I think it's pretty common for most people to "get" vos, once they see him live.

He's brilliant onstage, especialy working the crowd. He just happens to be the dumbest man alive.

How does Vos come across as a complete and total dipshit on O&A and kill on stage? His latest Starbucks routine was hilarious.

Maybe headphones stop the funny voices that live in his head from making it to the surface and they have to try to escape through his horrible fingertips.

By now the guy should "get" the show, but he still wrecks bits.

He's funny, but he just doesn't get the jokes on the show sometimes and thus ruins some really great gags.

Patrice, while loud, at least understands what's going on around him or at least knows not to say anything when he doesn't.

Vos really is a good comedian. He kills everytime I see his act.
He and Bonnie were great in Philly earlier this year. He may not
sound so good on the radio, but I will always go to his shows when
I can. He never disappoints.

I think his radio stuff sounds a lot better once you fully absorb his style of humor, which you will instantly do when you see him live. He fucking kills live.

Vos gets too much shit from the people who don't even give him a chance. Even in a shit place like Allentown, he brings fully loaded guns to the stage and kills......shit, that probably wasn't the best analogy to use.

It can't be said enough times - there is NOBODY who does crowd work like Rich Vos. He'll pick apart seven or eight people before he even gets to his first bit, smile about it, and sell the same people his DVD after the show. He's that good.
