Still the procrastinator, I just ordered flowers for my mom and grandmom from 1800flowers.com and came across a coupon code on one of those hot-deal sites that saved me like $25. Here it is in case anyone else needs to do something last-minute. It's for 20% off and there is no minimum purchase.

Coupon code: DP20

just for reference those 1800flowers or proflowers sites usually send their half dead flowers in a fedex or ups box with no vase. youre better off ordering from a real florist or a website that deals with florist in your area, if you look around you can find the same prices

I have ordered from them in the past and the stuff was delivered by a local florist who is affiliated with them.

3 $25 gift cards to 3 stores. Peir One, Barns and Noble, and Linens and Things. And a book off the Oprah list. Tomorrow I'll order take out and watch a movie w/ her. (no homo)

i guess it depends where you live, ive used those sites to send flowers out of state and overseas and my bf sent flowers to my work and they all came in cardboard boxes

Heard from Mom, flowers arrived and look great. I opted for no vase as she has about 30 of them already. I was too late to use a local florist or FTD.com. The flower shops in town had nothing I liked and FTD.com wanted way too much money for Sat or Sun delivery... I love my mom but $45 delivery charge is a little nuts.

EDIT: Also picked up Season 5 of the Sopranos on DVD for her...

I usually find out what my sister gets and I go halves on it.

I know, I'm a lazy, ungrateful bastard.

But I usually buy something for my sister, like dinner or something like that, just to repay the favor.
