It's a good thing you reminded me about that swimming stuff. I hardly ever get in pools anymore because I just sink like a freakin' rock. One of the downsides of not being so chubbsy-ubbsy these days. I'm definitely getting a good inflatable raft though. Or I could find some Cubans on the par of those who turned that old truck into an amphibious vehicle to try and get over here to help me out in a similar manner.
Still amazed at that story. People with that kind of brilliance should be allowed to stay here.

Congrats on getting the chance to spend every penny your poor parents have, so you can stay high for four years and then end up coming back home and getting a job at the Bennigans on Stanton-Ogletown road, or maybe the post office next door.

I think Loyola is built on high ground and didn't flood last year. I'm pretty sure but I can't recall exactly where Loyola is located.

Oh no. They have NO part whatsoever in this. It's been proven to me throughout my life that anytime I let my dad or mom in on my major life choices, things always get fucked up. My dad's junkie ass habits caused me to have to drop out of college two years ago even before I had really started.
I'm doing this on my own dime. They will not be paying any part of my tuition or room/board. If they decide to throw a few dollars at me every now and then so I can stock up on ramen noodles and not starve to death, I won't refuse it.
Whatever it takes. Anyone here have connections to the area that might make it easier for me to get a job once I get there?
God, there is never any logic to what goes on in my house. Never any structure at all. I'm finding out things right now as I'm writing this. More surprises. I'll probably get around to posting about this on here a little later. Right now I'm just pissed.

Congrats. I have quite a few friends that attended there. Loyola did get flooded. My wife just graduated from Tulane Law School yesterday which is right across the street from Loyola. Its all up and running right now, but was an absolute mess fall semester. Tulane and Loyola students both had to attend other schools for the semester while they were being repaired. I know Tulane alone sustained $100 million in damage.

I'm hoping to get a 3rd floor dorm room, at least. I might not have much luck since the orientation I'm scheduled for runs right into the start of classes.
Seriously though, anyone who knows a guy who knows a guy who can get me a job, get ahold of me. Legality and/or morality be damned; I just want to be sure I clear enough cash to pay for school. No faggit stuff though.

Depending on what you looking for, due to the hurricane, places are paying pretty well right now. You can get a job at Home Depot right now and start at around $13/hr which isnt bad part time pay. Even fast food places are paying $10/hr.

I take back what I said about the Mexicans. One of them killed a girl who was jogging at the park a mile from my house yesterday. They are as bad as the schwoogies now.
Yeah, that sucks.
I knew this Mexican guy who got cut to pieces by someone around where I grew up at. He seemed to be an alright sort. Worked at the supermarket nearby, was a decent churchgoing person. He didn't deserve to be cleaved into pieces and thrown into a dumpster.
Us whitey peoples are usually the ones associated with such crimes, so I guess we're all even.
