before you answer yes, let me explain.

I was on my way home from work and visited a gentlmens club called cloud nine for a couple of beers.

I was sitting there, minding my own business and this old guy came up to me and pointed at a girl dancing and said" you want a dance from her"

I told him I was ok, and just wanted to drink my beer.

he said" how bout a private dance, my treat"

Again I told him I was ok, and he said" I just want you to be happy"

I was pondering this for awhile and came to the conclusion that he was probably the owner and was just trying to use the drug dealer tactic on me.

so should I've take the free dance or private dance, or did I make the right decision.

keep in mind this place is kind of a dive, although on my way out, I saw a red orange chevy prizm with a couple of WOW stickers on it and an XM antenna

u did the right thing. no one gives things away for free without a catch. just like in the Godfather....when it was time he would have asked you for something.

that guy was probably a fag and wanted to watch you get a dance

Had I been in your situation, I would have done the same thing. The guy may just be lonely and want someone to hang out with that evening. On the other hand, the chances that there was a scam going on are, in my opinion, quite high. So, you offended an older gentleman by turning down his offer to have a young woman dance for you, that don’t make you a bad person, it makes you a bit paranoid and normal.

What gets me is that he's asking if what he did was right.

To make it worse, he's asking on a message board.

If you really rely on the opinions of the people here, you may have larger problems than denying some guy paying for your lap dance.

I think you did the right thing. It might have turned out harmless, or they thought they could toss you for whatever they figured you were worth.

I tell the people I deal with, especially victims who want a shoulder to cry on when it was clearly their own dam fault, if it seemed/smelled/tasted/looked/felt wrong then why did you do it? People do have that funny feeling (spider snese if you will) for a reason.

At least it's not another poll. This seems like a good question for wb. I would have said no too. You'd feel obligated to hang out with the guy when you
went back, when all you wanna do is chill.

Jesus, lighten the fuck up. He didn't use his cellphone to ask us the question in the middle of the club, he did what he felt was right and wanted to discuss it here.

He's not using the messageboard as a moral compass he's just here to talk about something that happened in a strip club, something a lot of guys here can give their opinions on.

I don't think anyone here is stupid enough to take this place THAT seriously or to use it to run their lives with.

This thread should be closed simply because you called it a "gentlemens club"

The only thing you take for free in a strip club is a shot of liquor. Or a 20 from your best friend.

If he was the owner, yes. He was probably going to screw you (figuratively) with some hidden fee shit before you left. If he was just some guy who had the hots for you, well you could have taken his money for the dance and then told him to go fuck himself. I think you did the right thing though.

Coulda been trying to scamming you into taking the dance then ditching you to pay for it.

The "I want you to be happy" is the creepy part here.

I really don't care. it was mainly for comedic response, as I know there are alot of jokes around here somewhere.

I thought that was the one you were talking about. The Ol' Conshohocken Ballet. Bleccchhhh......

I wouldn't trust that guy either. The "I just want to make you happy" statement is a little too much like something someone on Perverted Justice would say.

I have never gone to a place like this by myself, ever. It's always been for a bachelor party or ended up going with a few friends.

You did the right thing.
