I just turned on the TV and there was Stephen Lynch on the news on NBC doing a sit-down spot. It's so fun to see these guys you've followed for years start to become big. Good for Lynch. Hope he wins, but not sure I care enough to watch the awards.

If you watch the Tony's you're obligated to say, "No homo!" I think Lynch is the only straight guy in that business. He is straight isn't he?

But grats on the Tony. Where has he been anyway? I want to hear some new funnies from him. Ben, get him on the show.

Good for him, but he is done as the singer that we all knew and loved. Like David Allen Coe before him, he will deny that he ever sang those songs because it won't be polically correct with his new friends and co-workers.

i hope he wins too but the guy that plays frankie valli in jersey boys is amazing. That play was really good since its based on music, it works as a musical

Just a thought, but could the producers of the play be keeping him from doing O&A? That's the only reason I can think of that he wouldn't have been on the show yet.

I see your point, but he is working 6 nights a week. He has Mondays off. I would have thought that he would have been in to promote his show.

WBL, it didn't say (AP) before it, so obviously it was just mindless speculation.

I say - a Walk from CBS to XM with the cast of "The Wedding Singer"!

just saw a commercial for The Wedding Singer on NBC 4, and they even mention Lynchy by name and his Tony nomination.

Yeah, couldn't be that HE and WE want to SEE the show before he comes on so we could all talk about it.
You must have hit it right on the head with your reason!
Good thing you said "just a thought" before you posted that!:action-sm

No way, that's too rational.....:icon_wink

The show is pretty good. Talked to Lynch afterwards outside. He was great to talk to and mentioned that he is looking forward to being back on the show sometime soon. He also commented that there is no way he can ever stop touring, regardless of how the Broadway thing works out. That was good to hear as well.

Well, he was standing outside. Once you leave the theater, make a left. The backstage door (at least that's what I assume it is) will be on your left. Lynch came out and hung out for a while. The guy who played Glen Guglia was there as well so I felt obligated to give him a "you're good too."
