we went to this place last night called the yard house. pretty cool fucking place and apparently they have the worlds largest selection of beers. im not a beer drinker but i tried a few samples and theres some good shit. check it out: http://www.yardhouse.com/beer.asp
heh. i just looked at the martini section and noticed they have bikinitinis. i chuckled.
#2 Stone Imperial Russian Stout
Just that name makes my mouth water and brings back memories. Russia and Belarus have the best beer in the world. This is the only kind of beer I could keep drinking and it was smooth everytime. When I first moved here, I would pay 2.13$ a bottle since it was an import. It was worth it though. I suggest everyone try this beer. It's fucking wonderful.

unfortunately, my local grocery store doesnt carry it :(
edit: first yakov smirnov "in soviet russia, beer drinks you!". I found a place that sells microbrews and has this one. I'm going to drive down there and buy some. I expect restitution is this beer sucks.

Anyone remember when Bennigan's had the "Copper Clover" back in the mid-late 90's? They had 100 different beers and you got promotional gift certificates when you hit certain milestones.
I think I was up to around 25 when it disappeared.

I am not a major drinker, but I have never heard of any of the top 100.
I don't recall ever seeing any of them sold, advertised, or anyone drinking them.
As for me, good or bad, Corona all the way.

Why isn't Pacifico on here?
Pacifico is my favorite. I had my first beer at 15 and it was a Pacifico. Ever since then I've gotten drunk from many a beer, but as far as taste goes, Pacifico is still my favorite.

i know i am one of at least two wackbaggers who spend a lot of time on BA (beeradvocate). while i don't attend any o&a events, i have been to several with some of the online beer crew.
i am not going to try and educate everyone with a single post, because i don't really think anyone cares. but there is a world of better beer out there. just because they don't water down their beer, add rice and corn to make it cheaper and weaker, or spend $500M advertising doesn't mean craft beer doesn't seriously fucking rock.
it's sort of analagous to eating food at restaurants that care about their ingredients and preperation vs. eating at McDonald's.
carry on.

Too bad you can't order beer online in NJ, I'd try a few dozen of those. I know what an IPA is, anyone know what HIPA stands for?
I tried google already

Dogfish 90/120 minute IPA really, really kicks ass.
Don't eat anything made with yeast while drinking it though, unless you like butterscotch pudding dumps.

Oh, and Click4more,
I think HIPA is just a heavier hopped up IPA.
Or is double hopped.
I'll ask the goose island brewer though, because I wanna know for sure now too. :P
Cheers to drinkers too.

I've had about 2dozen on that list. One of the benefits of living across the street from a Belgian-inspired bar owned by a beer junkie.
Of the ones on that top100, my pick is Old Rasputin Russian Imperial Stout from North Coast Brewing Co. Real solid stout. It'll make you forget about that dumpster-water they sell as guinness over here.

I'm kinda surprised that I've had more on this list than I expected.

34. La Fin Du Monde 9.0%
83. Maudete 8.0%
Both brewed by the same brewer, Unibroue.
Good stuff!

I have heard of a # of them, including my favorite named beer.
#49 Arrogant Bastard Ale
I have also heard of celebration by sierra nevada and hopdevil by victory brewing company and chimay.
one of the benefits of working in restaurants that have bars.
