Just wondering how many of you all are dropouts. If you got kicked out, what's your story? How did you overcome your problem (if you had one)?
I was kicked out of high school my junior year for talking shit about some teachers in a blog. Nothing threatening at all, just making fun. I didn't violate the "school handbook" and I didn't break any rules, but a few of those idiots got their feelings hurt and they gave me the boot. Oh well, it's a private high school so I couldn't do shit about it. I took a GED and skipped senior year to go straight to college.
Nope. Still in High School and I make A's for the most part, a B every now and then. I have no plans of dropping out.

I left got the ole Good Enough Diploma. I felt I was wasting my time, I just wanted to work, which I started doing at 13. Went on to both the Police and Fire depts, left both on my own terms.
Now I run my own Company, I am moving into a new house and getting married to the girl of my dreams.
Not bad for a kid from the Getto.

I graduated from a private high school only to waste that nice degree on about a year and a half or college that went nowhere.
NICE!

I left high school because I started meds for panic disorder and it took me a good 2 1/2 weeks to get used to them and by then I had so much shit to make up, plus I would already have to stay back (12th grade) because I didn't have enough math credits. I'm in the GED program now and attending college in the fall for music.

Not this guy, close though. Got kicked out of good ol' st. anthony's on long island in the 9th grade after 5 mths, went back to public school and got the boot from "day" school in the 10th grade. Couldnt handle being that dude getting a GED, went to "night" school to finish up. Because of that, i didnt finish in June but in Jan. the following year. At least i can say i got a diploma. Who cares though, you can achive anything you want miuns that paper, including a college degree.

I adopted a Cookie Monster philosophy towards my studies in high school... "C is for cookie, and that was good enough for me." ... and the odd D was fine by me too. Just needed that piece of paper to show Uncle Sugar. Joined the Navy and became a Navy Diver... which is what I wanted to be since I was six years old. I realized my life's dream at 18 and decided it was more of a nightmare, but I did my four years and got the next piece of paper-an honorable discharge. Slacked a few crap jobs, thought about going back to diving for the $$$. I didn't really want to because professional/commercial diving is a rough and dangerous gig. About that time I scammed a tech job in a hospital. I met a sweety pie of a hottie resident in the OR one day. Married her, and ten years later I'm living a "farting through silk" life that I didn't earn, absolutly don't deserve, and never in my wildest dreams imagined I'd ever have.

I stopped going in 11th grade. Got the Good Enuf Diploma, and started in County College. I eventually got sick (and broke) of that and went to full time work and work study in Veterinary med. Slow roll with that and the money sucked... so I work in Retail now... 6 years later - 72K a year & I don't work in those cesspool stores. Not bad I think. I'mn doing better than a decent amount of my classmates and have enough experience/reputation that I can pick up another decent job relativley quickly.. Fuck loans... I hate owing money.

My gradfather was a cast iron prick. He had a blackbelt in advanced assholery, but the old bastard had money, and he spent his entire life manipulating people with money... either by rewarding them monetarily when they bent to his will, or punishing them by witholding the cabbage. My older brother and sister spent their entire young lives dancing to his tune because he held "the college funds" in all of our names. My sister had 4.0's in high school and she got 1390 on her SATs, and my older brother did around 3.8's and he got 1360 on the SAT's. They both kissed my grandfather's ass and he paid for a full half of all of their college tuition and expenses.
Then there was me... the problem. I was what you call a 'rambunctious' lad- barely got through high school, wrecked a car or two, was a seasoned barfly and small lush at the age of seventeen, etc...
My grandfather owned a big, beautiful summer home on Lake George (upstate NY), and the whole family was forced to spend summers in the company of the bellowing tyrant. My brother and sister kissed his ass and went fishing with him every morning. I slept in a tent out in the woods behind the cabin, and snuck down to the village to get plastered every night. My grandfather took me aside when I turned eighteen and read me the riot act, he explained to me with evil glee that I wouldn't ever see a penny of my "college fund", and that I was loser that would never amount to anything. I had already signed up for the Navy and I told the old buzzard he could place his money in the void adjacent to his enlarged prostate for all I cared.
After four years of college my sister and brother came home with the clothes on their backs, diplomas that were as useless as a hat full of busted assholes, and about $30,000 in student loans apiece. Four years in the Navy and I returned with an honorable discharge, training in deep sea diving and electronics engineering, a brand new car that I had bought for cash, zero debt, and about 10,000 bucks in my pocket. I visted my grandfather up at his cabin in Lake George that summer and I couldn't wipe the smug grin off my face the whole time... my brother was working as a special ed. teacher (read: retard handler) for chump change, and my sister was working at the DMV. And me... the world was my oyster.
Ten years later my grandfather moved to Florida and he put his Lake George cabin up for sale...
I bought it.
I graciously let my brother and sister use it whever they want to.
Why did I buy his cabin? Fuck him... that's why.

Kitner boys my hero.
I was so anti school n teachers< (whata group of freaks) Personaly I saw my father as this amazing man, And im in school listening to retards. I couldnt wait to leave that joke. Its just rehashed learning and showing your a good egg that can conform to waking up at 7 Am and being miserable. ( preparing you for life).
Booted me at 16/ Took the GED got 293 right out of the 300 Questions. Indeed my dad taught me more in a day then the pathetic losers could. Important things like charge a greek 30 dollars more than you want, he will complain, you take 30 bucks of ,,, hes smilin.. you know important shit.
SHIT THAT MAKES MONEY!
I made a grand today...I made the correct choice.
