Stingray

Just in case anyone didnt know, That Instant Feedback was not from me, I've been on Paltalk since it started, I've also used many now defunct voice chat and camera programs since 1994 including: CuSeeme (1994), "Internet phone" (mid 90's) Mplayer, Firetalk, Seesaw, Cameracafe, Paltalk and probably a few others.
For anyone interested,
Here is the history of O&A fans and Voice/Video chat
1999 - 2000 - Both the old messageboard (opieanthony.com) and Wackbag.com used "hearme" voice chat on their sites. very popular at the time. rooms are packed. "hearme" stops their hearme free client around 2001.
2000 -2002 wackbag continued voice chat in "yahoo clubs"
2002 - wackbag mods started using Paltalk for mod discussion, not everyday, just now and then
2003 - mods start inviting members, people dont want to "download another program" so 10 or so of us hang out on paltalk for the next year on and off. here's (http://www.wackbag.com/showthread.php?t=40706) an attempt to get some wackbag members in paltalk in 2003
2004 - Stingray, Coolaid and Prncssnikki start using paltalk daily and inviting people in (room was called "wackbag.com")- this is used everyday and more and more wackbag members start coming in. A post in the "computer and gaming forum" is put up by SOS as a free invite to people to join up.
Coolaid (admin of the room) disappears, we need to start a new room with admin privileges so Hummercash starts the "Wackbag Degenerates" room
2005 - Paltalk has become a nightly thing since 2004, We finally get WBL to join,
End of 2005 - WBL gets a kick out of dugoutdougs antics on paltalk and mentions it on the air.
2006 - You know the rest
i was in a meeting, and missed the instant feedback... what was said?
Someone tried to impersonate Stingray and gave an instant feedback on how he doesn't like Paltalk mentions on the show.
Ant knows how we would contact him and knew it was a fake.
All in all, any publicity is good publicity. TY to the haters.

Anyone with half a brain knew that I/F didn't come from Stingray.
As for Prncssnikki, people come and go on message boards. She had
other things to do in life and has moved on. We hope she can stop
in from time to time.

I have a feeling it was someone from somewhere else. I am only going off of a hunch, so I will just say that.

Holy crap. I didn't even notice nikki was gone. I hope she comes back to visit
when she can. I missed it too. Someone pretending to be stingray is pretty
lame.

Nice outline of the history... I fondly remember the good old days before Paltalk exploded as part of the show.

Chances are the person who did that is not on this board, or mine for that matter. Rather someone that is laughing at us for trying to call them out.

they are still good, just different.

She opened her door and went outside. Haha
She is taking a break from being on a computer all the time. Which, is not a bad thing for some others to look into.

Yeah, that was shitty, but I remember it happening to Sniper about a year ago. Oh well. There is one guy that can help, and if I get anything, I will forward it on, if it hasn't been done already. I have been working my ass off for the past 2 days.
And yes yes yes, we all know that paltalk was used WAY before it was famous, but I made it famous. That line should be in BOLD.
not using sarcasim tags today cus if you dont know me by now...

To each his own. I tend to disagree, but it's all good. I've decided I get nothing out of it anymore. It stopped being fun, that's all.

95% of the reason I use it is to watch the studio during the live show - thats why I re-upped (had it since 2001) in December and I feel I am gettin my money's worth. The drama comes with whatever you use to interact with fellow 'fans' be it a messageboard or a chat program.

Personally I love it. And fruit-- sorry about the old threads.....but all us paltalkers that recently joined wackbag can't post new threads, and we want to talk about paltalk, so we're just working with what exists here.
