Is it a 'sebacious cyst'?
"A sebaceous cyst is a closed sac found just under the skin containing pasty- or cheesy-looking skin secretions...
* Usually a nontender, small lump beneath the skin
* Redness, tenderness, or increased temperature of the skin over the area may occur infection
* Grayish-white, cheesy, foul-smelling material may drain from the cyst"

Does anyone really care about Vos and his stupid ear. He should cut the thing off and maybe raise his profile to that of Van Gogh.

I would hazard a guess and say yes, it's that kind of cyst.
I had one underneath the back of my neck in 2000, had it removed.
Mine didn't get to the point where it was leaking, but if I rubbed that
area with my finger the smell on the finger was fairly nasty.
When I went in for the surgery, which took less than 30 minutes, the doctor
showed me what it looked like. Imagine the eggs from the movie Alien and the liquid that drained out of face crawler Alien when they cut it with the surgical laser tool.
The doctor punctured mine with a scapel once he had it in a container and the smell was the worst thing I had ever experienced. I didn't vomit, but if I had smelled it for any longer period of time other than 3 seconds I would have. They sent mine to a lab to have tests run on it to make sure it wasn't something abnormal, and I never heard anything on it so everything was ok.
Mine was about 1/2 the size of a golf ball.
