Jim Leyritz and Michael Strahan recently have been very good candid guests. Any other athletes you think would be good on either the CBS or XM show?

Personally I would like to hear Mark Grace on the XM side. He won't be very honest about steroids but he's got a lot of great stories to tell and he's very funny.

I've always been a big fan of when the wrestlers come in on the show. HHH, Tazz, Jericho, Bubba Ray...they all have given good radio when they're in.

I think Sweet Lou Pinella could really be a fun interview too

I would listen to anyone who wouldn't bitch up. Open and honest guests are the best. JL was great and I understand his position to not name names if he did its like being a rat.

Barkley and Al Leiter would both give good interviews and I could see both working well on the show. David Wells might be good too.

To respond to my post about Velarde. I admired Velarde since I started watching the Yankees when I was a wee lad. Utility players are a dying breed.
As for Mel Hall, he is infamous for how hard of a time he gave Bernie Williams when Bernie came up from Columbus. He would haze Bernie constantly for his glasses and skinny physique. Flash forward years later, Bernie is a legend and Mel Hall, well no one know if hes still alive.

I believe David Wells came on the show a couple times back when he played for the Yanks. Not sure if he ever did the XM show but I could be wrong.

The best guys they've had on are Ripken and Messier, and not because of anything they specifically said. The uncomfortableness of the painful question or comment was priceless. Anthony's amber alert line to Messier was the funniest thing I've ever heard. I guess he forgot he wasn't talking to Mr. Nordon.

Gotta agree with Gracey. Heard him on Rome and he is a stand up, honest guy.

Did you ever hear the show with Tito Ortiz and Ivan Salaverry? Tito choked out martini Steve, when Steve was still a big fat dude. You should download it from OAvirus if you've never heard it, being a MMA fan, you'll enjoy it.
