No more bitching petition

Whether we always agree with the show, sometimes agree, or seldom agree the fact remains that we are all voluntary listeners. Since we choose to listen to the show no one has the right to complain, in theory.

Many of you feel that since XM is a pay service you can demand a certain type of show. Well, you can't.

We are listeners, plain and simple. This isn't "made to order" radio, you don't have the ability to tailor the show to your personal preferences. In layman's terms this isn't Burger King, you can't have it "your way".

If the boys want to use air time to air their dirty laundry in reference to their feelings about the marketing of their XM show (or lack thereof), the studio being revamped, defend themselves against critics, or whatever else, then that is their right. The ire O and A have been harboring about us complaining on these boards is not only justified, but a serious distraction that needs to end.

Over the last month we have been given countless extra hours as a benefit of the CBS deal and let's face it, the boys are on the verge of exploding nationwide, it seems almost inevitable. Keep in mind that they are also putting in more hours and effort into the show as well. Yes, they get paid handsomely for it, but for as much as it is to pay their bills it is also for us.

Instead of wasting space on these forums to nit-pick, piss and moan, and demand the show be run a certain way we should use the site as it was intended, to embrace the show we love and live for.

It is one thing to openly discuss the show, but ANGRY TYPYING GUY antics are way above adult discussion. We all are entitled to opinions, and should be able to express them, but what has been happening here has gone far beyond that.

I propose the following petition to be signed by those who agree that the complaining needs to stop and the focus of the forums be shifted back to other than just bitching.

As a voluntary listener, I acknowledge the Opie and Anthony Show is it's own entity and runs according to how the fancy hosts see fit, not how we, the listeners, say it should be.

I also acknowledge that if I do not like what I am hearing I have full power to reach my fat finger to my XM receiver and either change the channel or flush it down the toilet and then go fuck my mother.

Though I pay for XM I am not entitled to tell radio professionals, with years of experience in the industry, how to operate their day-to-day operations. Instead, I will accept my role as a listener and do just that, listen, without complaint, opposition, or over negativity.

Additionally I realize the potential the CBS show has in relation to spreading the virus and do not see it as a "watered down" version of the XM show.

Finally, I may not always agree with what they are doing, but I fully support The Opie and Anthony Show and all of the members that constitute the program... except for Vos :action-sm

I will gladly be the first to sign.

I love the show and have the right to say when I like it, but I have the right to express my opinion when its negative as well. About 7-8 years ago, I returned (in my mid-20s) to finish my college education (yeah I'm waxing nostalgic, go fuck yourselves). I was fucking amazed at the entitled pussies that seemed to fill every classroom. On every tough assignment it was "This is too much, the other professors only assign X amount of work", or "we can't do this, it's homecoming weekend". After every test it was "you didn't go over this" or "this question was worded unfairly". This was my first introduction to whatever shit generation of pussies it is following "Gen X". Since then, I've noticed it more and more. People hired straight out of college and complain about the hours/workload/etc. Everybody is fucking complaining. A lot of the shit that has been written here in the last few weeks is straight out of this school of "thought".
