Different intro song a while back?

So I'm bored and decided to listen to an old XM O&A from November 24, 2004 and I noticed something I, for some dumb reason because I'm an idiot, never noticed before: the Rage song at the beginning sounds very different. It's higher-pitched and has noticable guitar.

Definitely sounded different from what they use now, which I'm pretty sure is the one they used on WNEW. .. But now I'm doubting myself. :( Was it? Was the one I just heard a remix or something, or from a different part in the Rage song?

Either way, it sucks and the current one is a million times better.

Ah, that's what I figured.

Yeah, really didn't like it. Too much going on. The normal one is more simple and just sounds better.

I hope they never change that to another song or something.
