I know there are is a thread on this already and one locked too, but they didn't seem to go anywhere.

So here's the deal: I hate it that the boys are so pissed off by us, the fans. I'm sure many of you others are unhappy about this as well. IT SUCKS.

I believe it is a small portion of us that are actually stirring the pot. Most of us are as happy with the boys as ever. But I'm not calling out those few, I have advice for them.... (keep reading)

Here's what I think anyone who is hating the show right now should do: take a vacation from the boys for a few days or even weeks, go enjoy the summer, watch reality tv, read a book, get work done, etc. Go live your life, and when you get the itch to come back, come back. When you come back, you will probably enjoy them more. If you don't, then fuck it, you know you are better off without them right? :icon_wink

For those unwilling to take a break... Let's face it: Complaining, yelling, etc at this point isn't going to accomplish anything. In fact, right now, I believe more than anything that the opposite is what is called for. Let's show our god damn fucking support. Whether this involves doing a little bit of prep work, sending a nice message to Anthony's myspace, buying a giant penis cake for lil jimmy or what the fuck ever. Let's show our love for THE BOYS.

I know by posting this I will look like a shit dick to a lot of others here and will most definitely get me thrown under the bus by them, but I truly hope they can take it to heart. I don't mean to say you can't criticize the show or boys, but let's just cut them a break, they are FANCY MILLIONAIRES AND THEY DESERVE OUR LOVE.

The complaints are really beginning to make some boring radio, especially on Free FM, where Jimmy can't rip someone apart the way he normally would.

If the show starts approaching 6 hours, they must edit it to fit commercial breaks in for the replays. If something is going on, they go long. If nothing is going on, they wrap it up. Everybody wins since if they leave early, they can complain about them leaving early. If they stay late, they can complain about the replays being "censored".

I wasn't complaining per se, more just a suggestion on where to direct the heat to, if you did want to complain. Personally I record the original broadcast so the replay doesn't effect me at all.

I do find it sad and pathetic that XM can't use all that commercial time to have actual sponsors instead of just filling it with 60/20 and FIFA World Cup commercials, but that's for a different thread.

I posted this in the Lucky Louie thread, but wanted to voice my opinion here as well (and of course opinions are like assholes, everyone has one). The critiquing/criticizing complaints from the boys are one area where I totally disagree with O&A. This is a fan site, but it isn't a kiss-ass fan site. I think of it like I do the Mets.. I love the Mets. I'm a fan of the Mets. I read/watch all about them. But I will also criticize them for making dumb player moves (dumping Kazmir), knowing they will hit into a double play, etc...

O&A do seem to think their fans should have the 'drink the Kool Aid' mentality. There have been some times where I disagree or even dislike things they do (e.g. treat Stalker Patti...sometimes). Does that mean I'm not a fan? Of course not. I've listened to every second of every XM show, many of the WNEW shows and even remember hearing Gonna Electric Shock OJ live.

Also, when I think of a group that LOVES one particular thing with no criticism involved, I think of the Nazis. (ok, the last part is a stretch... just trying to add a little humor. car crash me).

I was thinking about this very thing today on my way home. The amount of bitching and complaining going on in here lately (or maybe it has always been like this), is incredible.

At least 90% of the people on WB are satisfied with the show. A lot of people had legitimate complaints and concerns about the show at the outset of the XM/CBS merger. (Comercial break content, replay schedule, etc) They have done a pretty fair job of correcting these problems, or at least attempting to.
These issues may have not been addressed if someone didn't complain, in the same fashion that O&A bitch untill they get what they want from XM/CBS. Others of course, will jump on the bitch band waggon because, as it has been succinctly put before, they are asscunts.
WB represents a very small portion of the O&A fan base, and if you were to assume that it indicates a crossection of the attitudes of all fans, then the show is doing pretty fucking good.
With that said, I wish these goddamned rich cunts would stop worring about what a few asscunts have to say and get back to the business of building the best fucking show on radio.

I have NEVER turned off an Opie and Anthony replay that I havent heard before out of disgust, and I did that for the first time today. I like the show, but the complaining is about as entertaining as listening to static.... so maybe in a week or so, they'll get the markets that the need to have and the commercial that they cant live with out and we can go back to bashing hoo hoo like the good ol days.
