So up until about one week ago my fiance wasn't impressed with the show. Lately she has been coming around and actually laughing at the material. I think the signing at Tower Records and the shananigans I started with the stickering of peoples backs really may have totally turned her on to the show. Now she has her own Wackbag.com name and a funny one at that. Pretty soon she will be calling in. :icon_mrgr
My question is.............
What does your girlfriend, fiance, or wife think about the show?
P.S. I was first call of the day bitches!

My old lady is indifferent to my listening of the program. She doesn't really comment on it at all. It's almost as if she can't hear it. . . at all. She doesn't give me shit about slapping around WOW stickers, though. I suppose it could be worse!:icon_wink

My wife never really cared much for it, but last week I think it was, when Otto and George were on the show, and they kept playing the "Goddamn Rich Cunt" audio when they were doing the Katie fairwell, she was laughing her ass off. She absolutely lost it when they were talking about Al and played the "You don't wanna hire any knitters, thats all." Since then I have found her XM in her car on 202. She liked the episode of Lucky Louie last night as well.
She likes Ron and Fez more though.

It was because of the show that I met my fiancee. Back around the opening of FH Reilys we were all hanging out for about 10hours, after that the rest is history.
She has been on WOW run 1 & 2, we all have the same friends and did'nt realize it. For Fuck sakes we were both helping PO out to open his school and I took Boxing class after her Body Rock class, and did'nt even know she was there. She breaks my balls now to tell me we should have been together 7 more months than we have been.
We have the Greatest time with everybody and are always at every party, our non OnA friends think we are in a Cult.
I was previously involved with a few girls, who did not like to be around some of the "characters" that I have as friends. They could'nt differenciate between a role that they played and terms used and real life. Basically they did'nt "GET IT", and that people, can drain the funny out of you.

My girl used to hate the show, i brought my xm on a trip we took and she said we could listen, i poped the boys on and they kept saying faggot and queer over and over again and since my girl knows alot of gay guys she got pissed and made me shut it off,
but after months of telling her its ok to say words like that for humor, shes finaly turning around, and cant wait to listen to them in detroit now.
So im slowly converting,

Overall my wife isn't a big fan of the show but there are bits from the 2005 Best Of Bits that she thought were really funny, her favorite was Celine Dion/Let them just touch it/Kayaks.
She doesn't think Norton is funny, she HATES anyone that Bush Bashes on the show and she isn't a fan of Ron & Fez. She got up during Lucky Louie last night and spent 25 minutes on our deck smoking cigarettes.
If O&A ever called my wife at work and asked her why she doesn't like the show they'd have radio gold trashing her.
All of this is very painful to me knowing that women like Lucci and

My wife has XM in her car and listens to the bbboys most of the time. When she gets home from work I usually have to explain something that happened to her,but she listens.
For our 28th anniversary she got us tickets to see Little Jimmy, and loved it. She likes Ron and Fez too and often puts 202 on in the house when shes just hanging out.
The one gap she has is , she never plays 202 when someone she knows is in the car with her,and probably wouldnt admit that she listens if its brought up by one of her friends.

She's a good egg. :)
She knows that it's way more intelligent than just "shock-jock" radio, that they talk about real topics.
She thinks it's good that I'm a fan of something. She's into the celebrity-gossip/E!channel crap that I don't care about, and I always relay the stuff the bboys say (about American Idol or whatever). My girlfriend listens to the show with me anytime I have it on, which is about 2-3 hrs of the show each day, whatever I don't finish listening to at work. She'll complain that all we do is listen to the show, but when it's on she does get some laughs from it when she isn't tuning it out and trying to listen to the tv. She laughs the most at jimmy, and thought he was really funny when I took her to see his stand up a couple times. The only one she doesn't really like very much is patrice, and that's only during his black phillip show, for some reason she said she doesn't mind him when he's on o&a.

My wife has been listening (sporadically) with me since they were on 'NEW. However, she's not as big a fan as I am. Her exposure is minimal due to the XM unit being in my car. As for the CBS show, she only has a 30 minute commute and they are usually wrapping up the terrestrial show as she's getting in the car (8:30 or so), so she doesn't bother and listens to CD's.
She does get disgusted from time to time, but listens with me when we are in the car together (without the kids) and loffs at the funnier bits. She did tell me just the other day that she finds them a bit repetetive. She refuses to allow me to put a WOW sticker on my car unfortunately. (Its registered to her and believes it to be disrespectful of me to look at other women's tits).
I happen to disagree. WOW sticker is applied to vehicle. (With magnet backing strips, I take it off when she can see it - what can I say, I'm whipped....)
As for Ron and Fez, she likes them a little better, but finds that they harp on subjects for waaaay to long. (Again, I disagree).

I caught the virus back at WNEW... I bought XM for O&A... I paid for a year of premium channel... and I'm the wife.
I've been trying to spread the virus to my husband but he has shown resistance... he keeps promising to call the show and "tell them to give my wife back."
He's showing some signs of the infection but I'm afraid will never have full-blown O&A.

As I stated before, my girlfriend hates the show. However, we did see Jimmy at The Comedy Cellar when we were in NYC and she thought he was funny. She also liked his HBO One Night Stand special. So she likes Jimmy and his humor but she doesn't like Opie or Anthony, I don't get it.

Why wife didn't like that at all in the beginning. When I would listen to them on 92.3 in Cleveland back in the day, she would cringe. But then I got the XM when they first came back and she slowly starting catching the virus. Right after that, she wanted an XM in her car and now listens everyday online at work.

All of this is very painful to me knowing that women like Lucci and
HappyTypingGirl exist. :jail2:
My chick also loves the touch it/Kyacks, but also thinks Jimmy is really funny. She CANNOT STAND the Scott/Laci/Connor Peterson jokes, however, and I *always* get the look of death when I joke about taking her fishing. Overall, she tollerates my habit.

Hmmm... I told my girl that if she got pregnant she'd get the ol' whoopsie-daisy, or possibly a visit from Doc Maarten. She cracks up every time. :icon_mrgr
It was also HER idea to go to F.H. Riley's for my birthday, on the occasion of her first visit to NY. We could've spent more time in Manhattan that day, but we went out to Huntington instead. I don't think anyone outside of wackbag could possibly understand THAT decision.
Now she wants to see Li'l Jimmy the next time he comes to Cleveland. Not just a good egg, a REAL good egg.

I won't say my wife hates the show...but she won't listen to them. In all fairness, she hates all talk radio, so it's a moot point. However, if I tell her about a bit or a joke that I liked, she will usually laugh at it. Mainly - she hates when they go off those long bits (you know the ones where you think a joke is dead and buried...yet goes on for another 45 minutes?).
If I can figure out a way to "censor" (bad choice of words...I know) the show for her, I think I could infect her. But it's not worth the time. And I don't wanna share the boys with her. :icon_mrgr

My old battle axe listens with me in the car, laughs a lot, but just as often says "no opie & anthony! music!" or other times she will listen and seem to be enjoying it, and then they will say something really disgusting and then I get the "EWWWWW!!!! TURN IT OFF TURN IT OFF!!" But most of the time she laughs and will at least listen to my jokes or other things I hear on the show and tell her about.
She appears to LOVE Ron & Fez though. She never ever complains about listening to them and laughs quite a bit.

I'm female and actually, I love them. When I first got my xm at christmas, I didn't even know who they were. I female coworker of mine told me to listen. At first I had to keep turning it off. But, like a virus I caught it.
Now I'm slowing getting my husband into the show. He's slowing coming around. :)

My wife is no prude when it comes to language or humor but I swear every time I tune in when she is in the car, the boys are at their worst (or best as far as I'm concerned) ... usually when someone is being called a "cuntrag" or something similar. That's when she says "what the fuck are you listening to?" .. which makes me laugh even harder...
BTW ----did anyone know "cuntrag" doesn't come up in a spell check? :icon_conf

I do take breaks from trying to get my girlfriend to get addicted to the show but so far it hasnt worked. We were walking in town earlier today and there was a family with a kid who had downs and it was hard as hell to keep from busting up. Couple times watching the kid try to speak but its mayor menino like tongue was hindering it I couldnt help it. Made one comment that got a good shock of horror reaction , the kid was confused at the concept of a revolving door and I said, "If he ever was in a bike accident like Rothlisberger, he wouldnt need a helmet because his tongue is big enough to cushion the blow of that goodyear blimp head hitting the pavement."
When the kid tried to eat an ice cream cone and the scoop went splat on the sidewalk all I could hear in my head was opie going "thats terrific, thats terrific." Hopefully she'll be in the mood for some sex tonight, I've been wet on and off most of the day.

Same here. My husband and are both crazy about the show -probably me more than him, though. I've been to a few events that he couldn't attend because of work. If we miss any of the show in the morning, we'll listen when we get home. People come over and we're sitting around the radio like we're listening to one of Roosevelt's fireside chats. My wife is really liking it these days, especially after attending the Cleveland show. She loves Jimmy these days. She thought he was hysterical yesterday when he was making that dwarf noise. I am the lady, and I hated the show in the beginning, even before I knew my now husband. I would listen sometimes but just didn't get it.
When my husband got XM he would try to leave it on 202 on our ride from Jersey to MA (to visit my family) I just wouldn't pay attention but would hear bits that I thought were funny.
Then he got ME XM and I wanted to listen on my own to see what he really heard that I wasn't paying attention to.
Patrice was on the first show I heard. I wasn't a big fan, but I kept listening, and each day after that I would turn it on.
Now I'm infected and try to convince everyone I know how great the show is, even if they hate like I used to.
I always love when I see a WOW sticker and it's a chic inside.
I need a WOW sticker!

Don't have a lady, but when I drive to school in the mornings(college), I carpool with 2 friends(guy and girl). The girl laughs at some stuff, but overall doesn't like it. The guy freakin' breaks out his laptop and cranks up music, which everytime he does it, something funny was said at that point that I didn't hear. So when I walk with them to class after parking I completely ignore them while I listen to the show on my INNO.:action-sm
