If anyone kills Vito, it'll be Phil. I think Tony's basically made up his mind that he's not going to hunt Vito down, but that Vito is not welcome anymore (and I don't expect Vito to come back).

Phil will kill him for family honor, because Vito's wife is his cousin...which will piss off Tony because Phil essentially just whacked one of Tony's captains (the jurisdicition on dishing out punishment should be Tony's, not Phil's, and Tony had decided to let him go).

Tony will probably furthermore see it as Phil fucking with him over the Tony B. thing and it will escalate tension between Jersey and NY further.

The question is will Paulie and some of the other captains turn against Tony in the matter because they wanted to kill Vito anyway. You could definitely see some rebellion in the family.

I really think this 12 episode run is ending with Paulie getting killed off. The guy's got his hands in too much and he's going to cross the line soon.

1) Tony gives Vito a pass, tells the guys if they see him that he's not to be touched and that if they can, tell him that he's welcome to come back and earn, even if he is a fanook.
2) Paulie wants to "go off the reservation" and take out Vito, but I don't think he does. I think Phil Leotardo gets him, but Tony thinks it's Paulie. Paulie dies, it comes out it was NY who hit Vito. Tensions really go into high gear, but Tony is completely distraught after having to kill Paulie
3) Bennie starts extorting Artie to make himself look like a good earner so he could take Vito's spot as capo. Feds come in, shit goes awry

When Chris and Little Carmine walked into the Luxury Lounge with Ben Kingsley, they saw a photographer take a picture of Wilmer. This is a really good point. David Chase is asking for a lot from his viewers when he sets up this relationship. i know what you are saying,but im not giving chase that much credit. imo the mafia is about the brutal whackings, thats the big reason we all got hooked,not to see chris rail and get high with the nurse from er.

HBO fucked that possibility up last week when they announced that Michael Imperioli and Frank Vincent had signed for the final 7 episodes. If they hadn't announced that, there would have at least been some drama as to what would happen to Christopher and Phil Leotardo.
