Yeah, I've been reading shitty reviews about the album online, and how the album isn't true to their style, The guitars are tuned down and it's boring, etc.
Bullshit all of it, you'll know that the second you start hearing lombardo drum on Flesh Storm. You'll be reminded of that less than 2 minutes into the album too.

I'm not sure how people who've never been raised on Slayer will accept it though, could really care less. I don't think they're really catering to a potential new fanbase with this one.

There's been comments on how this is just a godhatesusall with dave lombardo. (Like that'd be a bad thing...:icon_roll )
I'd say its more accurately a seasons meets god hates us all.

Just finished listening to it. I liked it, and this is coming from someone who hasn't liked a Slayer album since Seasons. Tom sounds better on this album than he has on the past few. Definately not what I expected, which is a good thing.

God Hates us All wasn't bad, but i agree it wasn't Classic Slayer. But I think they wrote that to kick the living shit out of the pussy new "heavy" stuff that was coming out at that time (Linkin Park, Staind, System of a Down, and shit like that).

New Slayer, bring it. Waiting for Aug 8th and buying it.
