I can't figure out this one song

I was wondering if you could help me out

I had the TV on one day and MTV was listing the top 100 music videos....there was this one song that was really good, but i missed who it was because i was fixing something......basically the MV is a guy in an alley and he ha plaque cards with the lyrics on them and he goes through them as the song is being sung

i think its either bob dylan or the alumun brothers

does anyone know what i'm talking about...what is the band and the song

Dylan does have avideo like that, but if it was MTV, I doubt it was him. I think INXS did that in their video Mediate also.

If it had an awful soprano sax in it, than it was INXS. Also, note the bad 80's hair. Otherwise, it was probably Dylan.
