I know it sounds corny fellas, but I considered them part of my family. :( I was genuinely interested in what happened day to day on the show. They were some of the few people on this planet who "gets it" (along with you sick fuckers.. *tussle* ;) ).

My drive home is abysmal. I am desperately looking for old shows to download, just so I can have SOMETHING to listen to. :(

For a living, I am a support analyst, which is a fancy way of saying "Under paid help desk person". Which is another way of saying I sit on a phone for 9 hours a day and listen to near retarded people bitch about how the "computer" is always fucking up and its all I can do, EVERY call, to not tell them to blow me, and to eat shit. My shit in particular.

I NEEDED that laugh on the way home. I miss the fellas. :(

I concur that you are not alone.
The boys will be back and if they are not syndicated then the SU will find a way to get us the show.

I think the main appeal of the show is that they were just a bunch of guys who have the exact same sense of humor as us, but they are really funny. They find the same things funny I find funny, and they are funny, so it makes the show funny, when a show has a group of people who are funny, and find the same things funny that you find funny, it is almost always funny, if I say funny one more time, shoot me.

Althought, I am pretty much over it, sure I wish they were still on, and sure, I can't wait for them to come back on, but what can i do, I've accepted it and moved on.

Welcome Justcrash to wackbag. Don’t worry we all feel the same way. I was off from work yesterday and I was talking to my mom and said look its 4 o'clock usually an hour before i have the radio on listening to them. God I miss them she felt bad cause she knew they were good entertainment for me even though she does not totally agree with everything they do she agreed they were funny and she feels bad for what has happened. I looked at O&A as family also its like that funny uncle that is always making wise cracks to everyone. Ahhh im just ranting I need to stop cause it hurts talking about it.:(

Syndication Underground.

I think the beauty of the show was that we can all relate to it. For me it was like when you hang out with your buds on a weekend or after work, Crack open a beer and just bullshit and joke around. There aren't any shows that come across like that without sounding fake. That's what made their show more gooder.

What other shows had access to all there bits, pics, and in studio video like O and A did. They made the fans feel like they were part of the show. I think thats why a lot of fans think of them as friends or part of the family.

I miss the guys and hope they come back soon.

I did a search and found it on Google, but I guess I don't understand it. :( Are there old shows there I can get in MP3 form and burn onto a CD to listen to in the car?

Do a search through this board, and there are references to what you are asking about.

i spend my afternoons going through o&a cassettes, finally transfering my stuff onto the hard drive.

the ride home is cake. it's when i get home that hurts. coffee, a packed bowl, and plenty of laughs.

i never called in. but i always felt like i was apart of it somehow.

I can't believe how much I miss those guys. They made the last two hours of work and the two hour drive home so much more bearable. We NEED them back ASAP.

Wow, that's exactly how I feel, but never put into words. It's really like hanging out with your best buds and shooting the shit.

I thought I was coping till I had to go to Pennsauken yesterday.
Threw on YSP and quickly switched stations when I heard D&M,
tuned in MMR and now I know why our Philly friends say MMR sucks. Jesus was that a lame listen....music wise it was okay but gawd what awful DJ's.

Marye beat me to it!! I feel the exact same way....I could never get my wife into them so I couldn't even talk to her about funny bits, or impressions that Ant did, or hell, even the firing of O&A! The show ALWAYS made me feel like part of the O&A "family" ! And this board has made me feel like one of their own bastard children!! lol So, you are not alone when you think you sound "corny" for feeling bad that they are gone ( for now)!!

I was a big fan of the old New format. That was my station from '67 when I was in high school until they switched formats. When O&A first came on, I switched off. Yes, I was one of those assholes. But my wife really got into the show, and kept telling me to listen. The one thing I've learned about radio, is that everything changes, but still stay's the same. O&A will be back!

You have no idea how old this makes me feel. Thanks for making me feel even older. LOL. j/k
NEW was the first station, to promote the free form format, right after WBAI. And I used to stay up all night, just listening to all the new stuff. There's not much to compare it to, now. Radio sucks now. I listen to college radio now.
