Patrice...Killed! Billy Burr...Good. Bobby Kelly...Killed!!! Bob Saget...A little too much Full House talk. Not Bad. Lil Jimmy...Guess? Killed!!! Tracy Morgan should not have closed the show. Funny. But no where close to Patrice or Bobby. Not even close.
Overall? The best show I have ever seen. Better than Dane Cook, Chris Rock or dare I even say Sinbad.

Show was awesome!! Lil Jimmy was great... Tracy Morgan was the worst.. he didnt even know what joke he was telling, kept messing up lines... Vos was awesome as the MC for the first half. All the others did a great job... Saget not as good as what I was hoping.

I would have liked to see Jimmy doing a mic check before Vos came out, and it would have been good to see o&A at the beginning instead of half-way through (and Jimmy's ass looked great in the shower scene...) Dice-Gay was awesome. Would have loved to hear Ectasy of Gold to let everyone know the show was starting...

The video clips were well done (finally something Steve C did well...)

All in all, a great show, had a fun time, and laughed my ass off.

Oh, and my chick turned to me during the show and said, "Doesnt Raphie May look like a butch lesbian?" And if he shave his goatee he would... a 400lb lesbian... Awesome...

The show production was about as cheesy as you can get and the whole thing got started about 30 minutes late...They wasted Patrice since he went first and was really the only one who fucking destroyed...Half of Burr's set was Hitler related and he was 'ok' but nothing more...Bob Kelly had the place roaring so i'd say he pretty much killed...Vos I thought was wasted in a role as "MC" for the night...was pretty funny in that role but didn't get a ton of time out of him and once Op and Ant hit the stage he kind of took a backseat...Now I LOVE the boys...I fucking love 'em...and obviously they have to have face time in a gig like that but they simply killed the flow of the show by coming out for some weak ass "Miss Virus" pageant...again, just poorly produced so when that bit hobbled to its conclusion they just took an intermission...the intermission was shite...people were getting bored...For some reason they had a DJ who couldn't wash the balls of Dru Boogie...not sure why they didn't have a guy who could scratch some shit up and entertain a little for that break...but that's just my opinion...Ant came out after the break and did his "Dice Gay" bit...and for as fucking unreal as that is on the radio it just doesn't work as well in person like that...it was funny but just not the same...Ralphie was solid but not 'phenomenal'...guy dropped 'phenomenal' a million times...but he was good...Norton came out and did his thing...place loved it...classic jimmy shit...show ended with Tracy Morgan (appearing fucked up) struggling through some bits...some were good...some he just seemed to trail off and forget to finish...again, think he was fucked up so can't blame him....Now let's get to the crowd...The place was NOT NEARLY PACKED...come on Boston what the fuck...brought some Stern fans who had a nice laugh at the fact that they didn't have that place packed...pretty sad...Not sure if it was just shit promoting or what but no excuse for a lineup like that to not be a packed house...even if there were 6000 there...should have been more...I know this sounds like a lot of bitching but i'm just being honest...I'm sure they'll make some tweaks for the next show to make it better...But they need to condense it somehow so it doesn't drag and shift up the lineup...Saget needs to go...getting douche chills just listening to him constantly talk about Full House and Funniest Home Video Shows...just weak...I'd say one of the coolest things was the montages of video they had from way back up till the Free FM shit...just a ton of good memories up on some big screens...Oh and I was in Section 106 where at the tail end of Intermission some fat fuck and his buddy decided to rail on some old guy...Pretty big fight started...two rows behind me and cleared a number of rows...few beers went flying and a bunch of them got leveled by Security....

Comedians overall get a "B"
Crowd gets a "D"
Production value (minus Video montage) gets a "D"

Not worth the $150 I dropped for 2 tickets and the hour i drove there but would definately have been worth paying closer to $30 per ticket or something...

Fuckin show rocked! I was most surprised by that fat fuck Ralphie May since he sucks ass on the radio but was quite good tonight. Tracy Morgan should not have closed the show, he was the only one that didn't make me laugh the whole set, 'lil Jimmy should have closed. Andrew Dice Gay's appearence was great and how could you not love the pregnant bitch with a crutch in the Miss Virus contest. She should have won since she best represents Worcester chicks. I am fucking exhausted from laughing so hard, but before I go to bed I'm going to go jerk off to Kimmy Gibbler pics.

How was the end of Tracy's set? I wouldn't know since all four of us were board and wanted to leave. I'm glad that he was last because I wouldn't have wanted to have to sit through his whole act to wait for another comic. Jimmy should have busted in with a Ramone call.

The show rocked (not AAF style)! Nordin was probably the highlight especially when Frank was brought out briefly. Saget was great as expected especially with his closing. Voss did surprisingly well with his Starbucks styled improv for the first half as host. The rest of the guys did great as well.

The only few downsides/disappointments were no WOWs from the strippers on stage or even the Ms. 2006 contestants (well, couple split second ones from Cara but not enough!), the show started a half hour late, and my gf saw more tits than I did! (she saw one girl WOW and I missed it)

I'd swear one of those pole dancers was pregnant too.. damn her only benefit were her pair.

And your comment about how it "best represents Worcester" reminds me of the Family Values tour commercial which is getting heavy repeat on the channel. How many girls do you know who you could ask "did you ever find out who the father was". I mean holy crap... talk about some dirty hoes around here.

I really enjoyed the show. Tracy Morgan was definately the weak link in this show, and I think that Jimmy should have gone on last, but for the most part, we were all laughing through the majority of the show. I would definately attend again if they decide to do it again in the future.

Had a great time meeting everyone this afternoon at the Irish Times...hope to see you all again!

I thought the show was definitely very good, the highlights for me were Patrice even though I normally can't stand his shtick on the show I thought he brought it tonight, Bobby Kelly was f'n great, Bill Burr was entertaining, Saget was average at best, I was expecting alot from him from the hype but it didn't pan out. I enjoyed his guitar work more than his comedy, Ralphie May was pretty good but Lil Jimmy was the man! If they wanted to close the show on a great note they should have saved Jimmy for last. Tracy Morgan SUCKED in my opinion. He was definitely f'd up on stage, hammered or whatever but his whole routine just sucked. Would've enjoyed it if the dude on the couch got up in his grill when Morgan was bitchin' him out to get off the couch. What a dickhead!

Was tempted to hit the bar they were going to after the show but work beckons in the morning and I didn't want to be too hung over.

Lastly, congrats to Cara from Myspace for winning Miss O&A Virus 2006. The whole bit was weak but whatever.

The fact that you think Saget was great is pretty sad...

No actually, your review was sad and made you sound like a fool.

Saget fucking DESTROYED. He had the second best crowd response next to Jimmy. Fact.

The show production was about as cheesy as you can get

No, it wasn't.

and the whole thing got started about 30 minutes late...

Yeah, that sucked. But whatever.

They wasted Patrice since he went first

Uh, no. That's not "wasting". That's "starting off strong".

and was really the only one who fucking destroyed...

You just blatantly lied. That's not even an opinion, you're wrong.

How was he the only one that destroyed when Norton and Saget had a better and louder response? Bob Kelly killed too.

Half of Burr's set was Hitler related and he was 'ok' but nothing more...

He was really good. But he's not a loud/OMG HE SAID THAT?? kind of comedian that the othes who killed are. That's just not him.

Bob Kelly had the place roaring so i'd say he pretty much killed...

Oh, so wait, Patrice was the only one who killed but now Bob Kelly did too.. Hmm.

gig like that but they simply killed the flow of the show by coming out for some weak ass "Miss Virus" pageant...

It was lame, but shit happens. It's not their fault the bit couldn't have gotten better. The girls sucked and wouldn't even show tits quickly (Cara rocks). And one was ugly as hell.

again, just poorly produced so when that bit hobbled to its conclusion they just took an intermission...

Hey tard, they didn't "just take an intermission" because of the bit. That was planned.

the intermission was shite...people were getting bored...

Uh, okay? It was 10-15 minutes. Don't sit there, go do something outside.

For some reason they had a DJ who couldn't wash the balls of Dru Boogie...not sure why they didn't have a guy who could scratch some shit up and entertain a little for that break...

I agree.

I quit reading after that because you don't know what a paragraph is, but skimmed the Bob Saget part and give me a break. You got douche chills? While the rest of the place laughed their ass off? Lighten up dude.

Your review stinks as much as Tracy Morgan's set.

Okay, here's my review:

First off, I knew that the show was going to start a little late. No show usually starts on time anyways. I got a quick word and pic with Paul and saw Vos. Personally, I think that during intermission, they should've brought out the characters in the O&A Petting Zoo instead of just at the beginning. Maybe instead of a petting zoo, they could've had a meet and greet like most shows. Or how 'bout an autograph session with all of the comics after the show. During the Miss Virus 2006 judging, I think that O&A (especially Opie) didn't really want to be there. Personally, I don't think that this whole Massachusetts appearance was well put together.

I'm not going to be a negative neddie by any terms. I did enjoy the video montage of the show. Most of the Comics killed. I agree that Tracy shouldn't have closed the show. Bill Burr was just okay. Vos wasn't the best but rather better than I expected. Bob Saget was good but really needs to distance himself from Full House. He's funny, just don't include material about a sitcom that has been off the air for eleven years now. But here are my top three standouts for the evening:

1. Jim Norton
2. Patrice O' Neal
3. Robert Kelly

I waited for an hour at Sevens and I left the place about an hour ago and O&A weren't there and they probably just got to the bar and Club Soda Kenny is probably not even letting people take pictures with the b-boys. So, overall it was good. Good, not great. But Norton, Patrice and Bob Kelly killed IMO.

WOW, what the fuck are you , a fucking critic? Are you on fucking crack or what. Were you even at the same fucking show that I was.You should have stayed home, as a mater of fact, you should start listening to HooHoo and just fucking leave this message board as well. I thought the show killed all the way through. I will admit that by the time Tracy Morgan came up I think everyones endorfin level was crashing from all the great laughs the all the other acts were getting and being that I was back stage taliking to most of the comedians personally, they felt the same way, its not that Tracy Morgan bombed, it was the croud that fizzled out from being tired. I think they will be changing the line ups for the next shows to come so the last comic will be different, lets hope for Tracys, sake. And for your coment about attendance, Free FM 92.3 is advertiseing the boys out side the station with Billboards and bus signs and stuff like that, I think WYSP is also doing the same thing, as Far as WBCN, They havent yet advertised once outside of there own station, so there are alot of people that dont even know there back on terstrial radio.

Over all, the show was a HUGE Success and I am looking forward to the next one.

Congratulations Opie and Anthony for making such a great night possible, Sonny

The show was great. I enjoyed everyone. Dodisman has a pretty fair write up.... Seeing Norton's ass twice was great. The intermission was planned. Patrice went first cause he was in Mohegan Sun tonight as well....The Mrs. Virus kinda blew, though Cara proved she was worthy. I even saw a rascal with a WOW sticker on it. Bottom line is it was a good time. I am sure the shows will get better and better.

Pretty good for the first event! The bit they did with opie in the shower started out real hack but it was ok in the end. Ms Virus was terrible. Tracy Morgan couldnt ignore the people yelling stuff at him from the crowd and got distracted. Beer lines were long! They charged money to drown the clown WTF?

1. Patrice Oneal (really great as usual)
2. Jim Norton (recognized most of the material)
3. Bob Saget (very good)
4. Bill Burr (very good)
5. Bob Kelly
6. Ralphie May
7. Tracy Morgan (WTF happened to him?)

They wasted Vos on MC.

I had a really good time. I will mirror what most have said. Tracy Morgan SUCKED!!! He basically told one 20 minute joke. The only part of his that I liked was when he called out the dickhead who had to be the "yankees suck" guy. I felt like I was back at school during Greek Week with all the delays. WTF was the 30 minute intermission for? If I had to rank them they'd go like this:

1. Bob Kelly
2. Patrice
3. Ralphie May
4. Norton (I had heard/seen 90% of his set before)
5. Bob Saget
6. Bill Burr
7. Tracy Morgan

I have never seen a Rich Vos set so I was hoping to get more then 5 minutes at a time.

All in all a very fun night, but I wish I had gotten $10 seats instead of $40. Hopefully the 2007 version is a little better organized.

Overall, I thought the whole show was really good.

I guess my friends and I were the only ones who thought Tracy Morgan was getting a raw deal by the pests. I'm white, irish, from Lowell, MA (very hateful community) and fairly racist, however I love "black humor" which Tracy epitomizes in my opinion. He wasn't drunk or fucked up, he's trying to sound "mad ******ish" and ignorant. He doesn't go into any sort of deep issues, he's just straight dirty/gross. His set is pretty much all old material, buy his DVD at Best Buy, it was pretty much the exact same thing. You gotta catch his facial expressions and the fact that he's trying to play dumb. He was definitely getting fucked up by the dickheads in the crowd, so if you're gonna smash him, smash him for that. The material should have killed though. It cracks me up, too bad the faggots behind me couldn't stop yelling shit that didn't fit Tracy's style ("I make happy time" at least 7 times, which I think was a Borat reference....I love Borat, but the queers yelling it sucked, "Yankees Suck", "Ramone", "Do ya?" "I wish I could change the channel", etc...) but whatever that's just my opinion.

I don't understand the logic behind anyone other than Norton closing the show. Considering the audience, you know that he was gonna be the one sending the crowd off with a smile on their faces. I understand if he's trying to be humble, but at "The Opie and Anthony Traveling Virus" it would have simply made the most sense for him to close. Nationally, Tracy Morgan may be a bigger name, but for the crowd going to the show, Norton's the biggest name by faaaaaar. He killed by the way.

Bob Saget killed. Most of the crowd was fuckin mega into him, his songs were funny as fuck. He did make a bunch of Full House/AFHV references, but he was poking fun at himself for doing that shit, not glorifying it or anything. He definitely repeats a lot of the same theme; He'll throw a dirty joke or something out there, then follow it up with either an apology or a PSA like "Don't do that". It worked though.

Ralphie May was waaaaay funnier than I thought he'd be. I thought it would be all "Look at how fat I am." type jokes, but there were only like 1 or 2 of them. He was good, the fingerbanging talk was a riot.

Bill Burr was pretty awesome, his set was way better than the one that's on HBO. He made a lot of jokes that were easy to laugh at.

Bob Kelly was great. He had a couple almost Dane Cook-ish type lines that were borderline douchy, but he made them work a lot more than I think Dane could.

Patrice fucking killed, no real other way to put it. Straight hilarious. Unfortunately, he hits the nail right on the head when he's on the show and describes the O&A fans who go to stand up shows and fire off show references rapid fire and do the "UHHHHH!!!" noise. Fortunately for him, they didn't do too much of that during his set.

Vos doesn't really do it for me comedy-wise, but he was a really good MC.

Andrew Dice Gay was funny, someone else mentioned how it does better on the radio and I agree. I'm probably Ant's biggest fan, but I think that he should do more of the Dice-like jokes, and ease up on the water dribbling gag, that was a little hokey after the first time.

Again overall, the show was good. All the sets were nice and long and everyone seemed to try dusting off their best material. I wish Tracy Morgan could have gone on a little earlier, and Norton closed but other than that it was awesome.

Comics - A
O&A - B
Crowd - good overall except for the usual suspects - B- / C+
Venue - Not as bad as I thought it'd be, Worcester's cleaned up a bit. C+
Festival - ummm not so much. D

I'd go again in a heartbeat.

1. Jim Norton (really funny, but the leno stuff everyone allready heard)
2. Bob Saget (i spit something up laughing at one point, he had some peaks and some medium, some crap but when he peaked he peaked hard)
3. Patrice Oneal (funny shit)
4. Tracy Morgan (fantastic, his set was such a fantastic mess, his jokes about fucking chicks that are handycapped and on period were great, he was playing off the crowd a bit and you could tell he was thinking about weather or not to go on after his last joke, he was surprisingly sick and raw after norton)
5. Bill Burr (meh)
6. Bob Kelly (I thought he sucked)
7. Ralphie May (what a hack, he was all mullet and midget jokes, the fingerfucking stuff at the end was ok but really weak overall)

norton, patrice and morgan all talked about, choking on cock and crying a bit. anthony kept saying "bob saget, who would have guessed" like 8 times, which sucked. andrew dice gay was funny. the drown the clown and petting zoo sucked ass and didnt do shit to psych the crowd. Most girls in the audiance were there with there boyfriends rather than as fans and it was annoying. the backstage vid was useless cuz jim showed his ass live anyway. how bout an open mic contest instead of 20 minutes of pg13 stripping next time? oh yeah ms. virus was in the ass from the start. fucking dcu had waaf signs everywhere.

Personally, I thought the whole show was great. I don't complain about the little things, like the screw up of the backstage bit with opie in the shower or whatever it was... second time's the charm there. Shit happens, and it makes the show more organic when it does and Rich Vos has to be left to cover for it. Makes me smile.

The majority of the stand-up was funny. I think I was star-struck enough to not mind the dice gay redundancy... I don't think Ant is really a frontman show- stealer type of entertainer, and with that in mind, I think he did very well. Besides, it's a familiar gag that he did for fun. No need to analyze any further.

The real catch for me was being able to meet everyone face to face after the show for signatures. I've always wanted to go to an O&A signing and never have in the last 12 years of being a fan. Even though I wanted to say a lot to my two heroes of radio, all I managed to mumble out was "I'm a fan since 94" and "thaank yoou"... after which I immediately felt like a total loser. Oh well... hopefully next time I can say something less retarded. Regardless, they both sincerely looked me straight in the eye and said thank you, and I got a handshake from Opie. I felt like a little kid meeting his hero.

I can't wait for the next show.

angrykirby, I forgot to mention the gagging on cock thing. I was listening to Tracy Morgan's CD on the way to the show, and that's BY FAR the part of it that made me laugh the most...

"You want dat TV? You gon' hafta come ova here and gag on dis cock! <insert gagging noise> Ohhh shit, dass it god damn it! We goin to Best Buy tomorrow!"

Patrice, Norton and Tracy all made reference to gagging on dicks, and I laughed everytime.

The noise Tracy makes to illustrate the point was the funniest one though.

"GAH GAH GAH GLUHHH!! GAH GAH GLLLLLUHHH!! Dass da shit gahdammit!!"

Holy shit, what a show. I have to first off say that Voss could be the coolest man ever. Despite his trademark hackieness, he slayed every time he was on the mike and a great guy to talk to during the intermission while we got our DVDs signed.

All the comics killed. I knew all the comics but Norton was the only one I've ever really seen do standup before. Voss opening things up rocked. Patrice was great. I was never really a big Bill Burr fan till seeing his kill tonight. Bob Kelly could have had the line of the night when he said "My dick stands for truth!" Sagat was just funny as all hell. I got a bit nervous when he pulled out the guitar, but the songs were quite good. Andrew Dice Gay was just hilarious. Ralphie May was really good on stage and was a really great guy to talk to also at the merchandice table. Seeing Norton destroy like he did was unbelivible. He unboubtly has the best set of the night. Tracy Morgon was the suprise of the night to me. I never knew he was THAT dirty. He made Saget look like Brian Regan. At times his set was uncomftorbal, but he pulled it off in a big big way and was verry funny.

I was verry happy to get pictures and autographs with EVERYBODY. Opie, Anthony, Norton, Voss, and Ralphie, Pat and Patty were all great. I was very suprised to see how nice Opie and Anthony were to everybody. I was happy to have words and handshakes with both of them and was happy to see that they still care about there fans.

Overally the show was better than I imagined. I hope they put out a DVD of one of these virus shows, its that good. This croud could have been better, but they probably will be at other shows. I really hope they do it again next year.

A couple of side notes:

Seeing Kenny carry lil Jimmy back from the bathroom to the merch stand was hilarious.

Did Jimmy not wipe his ass or something for that shower scene? It was like a golden brown sauce at the top of his ass crack. You could almost see his cock too, what the fuck man lol. The memories keep coming

anthony kept saying "bob saget, who would have guessed" like 8 times, which sucked.

Uh, no. You just blatantly lied.

Most girls in the audiance were there with there boyfriends rather than as fans and it was annoying.

How the fuck was that annoying, idiot? You just described EVERY SINGLE CONCERT IN HISTORY. Holy SHIT.

]the backstage vid was useless cuz jim showed his ass live anyway.

Um, WOW. You like.. completely don't get things.

How the fuck was it "useless" because he mooned a camera later? Give me a fucking break. What a tool.

I been waiting for this show since tickets went on sale and I wasn't dissapointed. My friend Kevin, (the pillsbury dough boy) was the first to dunk the the clown with one pitch.

Regarding the comedieans....Jimmy was the tops.... seen him on Leno, HBO. This was better. Unbelievable! I was expecting nothing from Bob Kelly, but he turned out to to be the funniest fuck I'd ever seen. He was fucking the nuts! Patrice, was great, listening to him is like having Jimmney Cricket sitting on your fucking shoulder. So true, So True.

This was a great night! I converted Kevin to the virus, which is like jerking off into Lake Quinsigamond, in that it will spread rapidly now. Great show!

just got back home. We went to Club Seven with the crew. They ended up staying for 20 minutes and left. Tracy was there drunk off his ass and acting like a dick. He doesn't belong with the rest of the comedians. He sucked, he was trashed and didn't give a shit about the fans.

I went with two cockbag friends of mine who can't stand Opie and Anthony (theyre Howard Fans) but they love stand up nonetheless, and this one comedy show converted them....partially. Hey, I give em a lot of credit for coming this far after only a comedy show. I thought everyone killed, except Tracey Morgan, whom I was really hoping would kill. My friends thought Patrice, Billy, Jimmy, and Saget killed, and the rest of the guys were really funny, which is pretty good, seeing as how they only really came to see Burr and Saget....go figure. This show really was the travelling Virus...they even laughed their balls off at Andrew Dice GAYs set, without getting the inside joke....The virus is spreading indeed, gentlemen...By the way, Cara from Myspace was hottttttt.

zeo, i agree with your entire review. i for some reason didnt get the impression tracy was "out of it. i just thought he seemed flustered that he was recieved so badly RIGHT AWAY. it took two minutes of him on stage and he was being killed. it was sorta cringy. i think o and a (and jimmy) wanted this to be about comedy and not who was the most talented. this however, just wont fly with most asshole "fans". i actually i think one or two comics were funnier than norton but he should have deff. been the closing comic. to put tracy out there last was outrageous (these ppl, not myself cuz it doesnt matter who did, wanted jimmy last and unfortuanetly tracy was given a bum wrap.) Also Tracy , besides sagget ,has been on the show the least amount of times. at least since XM. i think many fans were pissed that he would end the show and not jimmy. not realizing this wasnt a popularity contest

anyways great show, laughed at every comic. Patrice was great, Biilly was great (he was refreshing to have on such a blue show. it was good to have him in the mix). Vos was great with little time he got. Bob kelly and Ralphie May were the two i thought would be the weakest links and fucking killed. Sagget was very good however he depended on the fullhouse stuff a bit too much for my taste. Jimmy was great and poor tracy. He's a wild man. thought he got handed the worst spot having to follow jimmy and close the show, ppl were hammered, some ppl heckled WAY before they had time to form a valid opinion of his work, and i just think he has a slower style then the others and it didnt mesh well with the other comics. i think he should go on much earlier in the set. he was very funny and he just seemed genuienly upset by the mocking he was recieving. maybe he shouldnt have acknowledge it but i think he had balls to acknowledge it. also HOW COULD HE HAVE NOT ACKNOWLEDGE IT? tracy was making me laugh and was by far the dirtiest and cringiest comic of the night. everyone did great thanks for the fun O and A

All in all I thought that it went not to much out of what to be expected, I dont think it was worth the almost $75 a ticket but it was still pretty good. The only 2 surprises that I really had was that Tracy Morgan was that bad, and I honestley thought that Ralphie May was a lot better than I expected, I really got some pretty good laughs out of his shit. And for those who are bitching that it didnt start on time, if you actually thought it was going to start on time you are on crack. Nothing like this ever starts on time.

Man, I feel the exact same way. As my girlfriend knows O and A hold a very special place in my heart. I was laid off back in 2001 when I lived in Boston and while I was out of work and in a VERY bad place in my life listening to O and A in the afternoon was like my anchor. I really think the show saved my life. Anyway, I told Anthony this and thanked him. He was actually listening to me and really seemed to be touched. I shook his hand, got autographs from everyone, and left with my girl. Walking to the car I burst into tears like a 12 year old girl that just met The Backstreet Boys. It may seem strange but it was like I got a chance to thank them for all they did for me 5 years ago and I just got overwhelmed with emotion (no homo).

As far as the actual show goes, everyone killed except Tracey. His set was just all over the place and a mess. When you go back to the voice box joke multiple times and actually use the line "I don't trust something that bleeds for seven days and doesn't die" you should not be headlining any show.

Well...what time did start and end at?
Was there any wet t shirt contests?
What was at the "OnA village" and how was it?
Was there age restrictions?

Started around 7:30 and ended around 11.

There was no official wet t-shirt contest.

The Village consisted of the following:

1) A dunk tank with a clown that had a few good lines but was mostly lame and laughed like a cartoon Batman villain. It was $2 for 3 balls and $5 for 10 balls

2) The petting zoo which was No Filter Paul, PFM, and Stalker Patti penned in an area filled with hay.

3) The Pest booth which had the Andrea Yates Challenge (hold 5 balls under water in a tub for 10 seconds and win a prize) and the Chester Kick Off (try to kick stuffed dogs through targets). Both games were free, had no wait and were easy ways to get free shirts and other merch that normally cost $20+ online.

That was it as far as the village goes. There might be more at the outdoor venues but if this is all they're doing everywhere it seems over hyped. It was definitely fun but fell short of what I expected.

I can't say for sure that there was no age restriction but they didn't check ID's at the door and I saw a few kids there that I never would have bet were over 18.

The show was great, and I was glad Tracy was able to turn around his set after that douche bag yelled 'Yankees suck!' at him. That got him into his act, and I believe different material, as he segued into sports shit and left the pussy shit.

Ralphie was a pleasant surprise, as I didn't expect to laugh as hard at his shit. He did a damned good job and stayed away from doing just fat jokes.

The after lounge sucked, but then again I wasn't expecting much. Besides, it was cool just hanging outside with everyone away from the negro music.

My favorites top to bottom:
1. Norton (duh. should have closed)
2. Bob Kelly (way better than I expected)
3. Patrice (great. I like him better on the show than the stage though)
4. Ralphie May (way better than I expected)
5. Bill Burr (funny because it wasn't like the other sets)
6. Saget (probably too much Full House material, but I liked the "Half Baked" references and the songs)
7. Tracy Morgan (OK, but anti-climactic after Norton. people were leaving during his set.)

I didn't think the Village would work well in a place like DCU center. It was fine for what it was. The clown sat there by himself for minutes at a time because no one wanted to plunk down the cash.

The Ms. Virus contest didn't work. Cara was the only one that didn't get roundly booed.

I thought the video segments were good, maybe a tad longer than they needed to be. The Opie/Jim shower scene was freaking hilarious. I hope they do more of those in the future.

I was disappointed in the crowd. We drove up from LI to support the boys. Only 6,000 announced, a pretty lame turnout for that kind of lineup, especially when a lot of fuckers only paid $10.41 for tickets.

But it's a great start to something that I hope really takes off. The show was nearly four hours and well worth the money. Getting the comedians this kind of gig was awesome. I hope they all got a nice chunk of change.

The Andrea Yates Challenge? :icon_lol:

I kinda felt bad for the boys during this whole DCU thing. You could tell this thing was fucked early on. You could hear them trying to promote the hell out of that gig to get people to show up and not many were going to. It wasn't gonna be like Camden with the big Philadelphia base or PNC (which looks to be like the main gig of the four of them) and that's sad.

I wonder if they took a hit on that gig. With the amount of ten dollar tickets sold and the amount of people, I can't imagine that one being too much of a success financially.

I agree with you on every level, but I also thought Patrice killed and Tracy Morgan was extremely funny, ( mainly because I had only seen him on T.V and it was the first set of his I had ever seen so, I had nothing to compare it to.), and I like the fact that the people next to me were getting offended by his talk of relations with a crippled woman and the whole C-section thing, which by the way, was hilarious. Ralphie May kicked ass. Vos was AWESOME!!!!

The highlights for me was watching Norton, Burr, and Bob Kelly. They all have their acts down in terms of timing and not missing a beat.
Not a fan of Bob Sagat at all, but he had a fantastic crowd responce and you cannot take that away from him. He closed his set the strongest out of everybody.
I love how Bill Burr's set is almost the opposite of all the other comics.

When O&A said they had an "unannounced guest" I was hoping for Ron & Fez or even Jim Breuer.

Overall, it was fantastic...all the comics had enough time to do a great set. Meeting the boys is a treat, as always. Both Opie and Anthony complimented me on my "obey fez" t-shirt.

No joke i'm very surprised a lot of you guys liked Saget...Maybe i'm alone on that one but I thought besides Tracy he was the next weak link. In terms of material it just didn't hold up for me. He did get a crowd response but I assumed it was coming from people who had maybe never heard him before so they were laughin at the shock value of it..I didn't mean to come off like I was just beating on the show at all. I enjoyed the show a lot. I guess I was just expecting more production and a tighter overall show. I KNOW the fucking intermission was planned but what I meant earlier was that instead of going right to it after a set that weak paegant dragged on and then went into intermission. Even Opie was laughing at how pathetic it was...Just reread my post from last night and I guess I made it look like they went to an impromtu intermission so sorry about that...definately knew it was planned...I think they will make the tweaks for the next show to have it be that much better...I think they need to promote the fuck out of it because having a packed crowd for anything makes it that much better...oh some cold beer would be good too.

For what it's worth [no, I wasn't there so I may just be talking out my ass here but bear with me], Tracy Morgan quite often improvises weird characters instead of the traditional 'stand-up' and/or incorporates those characters INTO the stand-up.
Guy is brilliant at that, but he's not a traditional 'stand-up' like the rest of the performers.
Also, Tracy is really good at bombing on purpose..... just to get THAT reaction. It's a fine art.

Tracy to me seemed out of it...almost like he went out on a whim without any material and just riffed...and bombed at it mostly...I like his delivery but he needs to work on some material...And after having to follow all the other guys who did a lot of sex material his just seemed to be repeating what we'd already heard...I know having a strong opening act is important but I think moving Patrice to the end would do the show good...In my section a lot of people started to peel out halfway through Tracy's set...I think it was a combination of at that point the entire show just dragging and the fact that he stunk...and the fact that they ran out of warm beer in our section...people just split...Is Tracy booked for the other events?

The show was great, I agree with most of the reviews, Jimmy, bobby, and Patrice killed. Sagat, Ralphie, Billy, and Dice Gay were really good, And Tracy was not great, he mentioned a few times how he had waited 3 1/2 hours backstage, and how we had already seen alot of comedy, and he followed JIMMY at an O&A show, I can't think of a worse spot for a comedian anywhere. It fucked up the vibe, if the show ended with Jimmy everyone would have been much more positive about the show, all you heard after it was over was how bad Tracy was.
It almost made you forget how good the show was.

Dude, whats your fucking problem, Tracy Morgan sucked plain and simple, your coming here and attacking peope for having an opinion.

Overall, the show for me was worth the ride up from NY. My favorite performer of the night had to be Sagat, but I couldnt help but wonder what his material was before he did Full House. Bob Kelly came in a close second for me and I think Patrice killed as well. I cant even count Norton cuz i have seen him so many times that alot of his material i have heard several times already. Bill Burr was good also. Ralphie May I had never seen before and I liked his set alot, but I was thinking he did that womans voice a little too well for a big fat guy and Vos did an awesome job MCing. Tracey Morgan was the worse part of the show. One of my buddies had told me he was horrible onstage, but I wasnt to sure till I saw for myself, he simply had nothing, he started on one joke about waiting for a girl to get ready and jerking off on her couch, then had an ADD moment and talked about watching porn and jerking off at home. If they opened with him, I woulndt have been bothered by it as much as I was with them closing with him.

The one thing that bothered me, hopefully im incorrectly assuming, was the fact that I saw that paltalk camera walking around the arena. Nothing against the Paltalk community or anything like that but I didnt buy my tickets and travel up to NY from Boston only to see that everyone in Paltalk was getting the show for free. If my assumption is incorrect, then im sorry, but if that did happen, then it was far beyond wrong.

I thought Saget was great! I don't think it was the novelty of hearing Danny Tanner talk about fucking Kimmy Gibbler, I really enjoyed him.

I'm sorry, but I did not enjoy Tracy Morgan. He had a couple good lines, but mostly was out of it. I would think he should be able to work with people talking instead of complaining about it. It irritated me when he was talking about "headlining" because I didn't think he was even funny. I imagine they could be rotating the headlining spot over the course of the several shows.

Bob Kelley was awesome. I like him a lot better after watching Tourgasm.

Ralphie May was surprisingly good.

Norton was great, but we've all heard a lot of his material on the show and other places (I still laugh my ass off, though).

Bill Burr was good, but a little hacky with some of the Hitler stuff, I thought (maybe hacky isn't the word, but I can't think of a better one).

Vos was a great host. He covered well when the tech guys didn't have their shit together (speaking of... why did pro light/sound guys screw up so many times? Lights going on and off at inappropriate times, video cutting out, the shower scene debacle, etc. - They should have gotten some good tech guys from Boston)

Patrice killed. He didn't stay to the end of the show. He had a gig at Mohegan Sun after Worcester. I went to gamble after the show. I was sitting there playing video poker and heard his laugh. He was meeting some fans from his show outside the room he played. I went over and told him he killed in Worcester and got him to sign my ticket. He was like "What??? You were there?" (I know... was he?)

There was no kind of festival atmosphere about the thing. I got there at 6:30 and the only thing I saw going on was Drown the Clown. That guy is hysterical. The only tits I saw were Cara's on the video screen from my nosebleed seats (for .6 seconds).

The crowd was slow to warm up. I think some people were pissed about paying $40 for seats at the back when they knew the station was giving away or selling $10 tickets. That's what we get for being good fans. We end up paying more for crappier seats. (I'm not being negative, just honest)

The comedians were mostly great. The production was rough, but I enjoyed the hell out of the show!

Maybe if it's like the one poster said and that Tracy intentionally bombed to get a reaction. Assuming that's the case then he should've been on a bit earlier.

Paul got us booted from the backstage area because he was hounding people for pics after Kenny said "don't bother the talent". Didn't matter, sitting in an actual seat up front was better. Paul's still a retard.

Paul also threw a hay bale at my girlfriend (he was aiming for Sonny).
Rather than apologize, he grabbed another and threatened to throw it at her... Denise stepped in and helped clean her off... I'm still waiting for an apology to my girlfriend for that one... People are telling me I should have slugged him.

The whole cast of comedians killed, except for Tracy Morgan, the closer. What was odd was that he seemed pretty fucked up, couldn't tell ya if he was drunk or high, and many people left 15-20 minutes into his set. After that drunk retard yelled "Yankees suck!" at him, Tracy attacked him for being a retard which turned his whole set around. Probably 1/5 of the place left before he turned it around, so you'll probably see a lot of negative shit about him, even though he did alright.
Yeah, my girlfriend was less than impressed with his set. I thought it was funny because he was just all over the place.

Bob Saget didn't surprise me, because I've known for at least 10 years what kind of comic he is. Actually, the guitar he brought out surprised me... that and Stairway to Heaven.
Hysterical. I think Tracy should have done the closing to the first part. Then they should have done Ralphie, Saget, Jimmy.
I think ALOT of people left after Jimmy's set.

I had alot of fun... my girlfriend did too, but now she's breaking out in hives due to being covered in dirty fucking hay for 4-5 hours... Thanks Paul.

Not worth the $150 I dropped for 2 tickets and the hour i drove there but would definately have been worth paying closer to $30 per ticket or something...

Whoa fella, 30 whole dollers? That is a half a tank of gas, don't go crazy. I brought my kids to the movie last night, and it cost me 70 bucks. Pirates II is worth double going to see half a dozen head line comedians. Do you live in the same country as me? It cost me 250 (face value, each) to see the Eagles.

Bill Burr did that routine about people in MA using "fuckin" as a moment of pause, then Bob Kelly follows Bill and does the " fuckin " thing like seven times in 30 seconds. :icon_surp

The show was great. The place was not sold out, but it was a pretty good turn out. About 5000, 6000 people. I live in Webster Ma, so, I was really happy to hear they were playing Worcester, because I generally have to travel into Boston to see live road shows or comics from the show, so, this worked for me. I'm not a huge fan of Worcester, but, the DCU center isn't a bad venue. I bought my tickets the day the went on sale, my brother bought his yesterday and got equally good seats. :icon_mad:

The video pieces were great, I loved seeing all those moments from the show and news clips. Bravo to Steve or whoever put those together. The Jimmy ***** Opie video was fucking hysterical. I chuckled everytime I thought of that the rest of the night. Dice Gay was entertaining. The Miss Virus thing wasn't great. The clown was as bad as he was on the radio Friday.

As far as the comics;

1. Jimmy: This was the third time seeing Jimmy's act and even though I've heard a good amount of it before, I was still laughing my ass off. Jimmy just owned that crowd. His bit about going down on a girl was hysterical. As others have said, Jimmy should have closed.

2. Bill Burr: I liked Bill's set. I don't think he got the reaction he should have, but, personally, I was very impressed w/ Bill.

3. Patrice : Patrice and Bob Kelly were pretty equal, but Patrice's stupid shit women say routine, put him over the top. Patrice got a very positive reaction from the crowd. You got to love a guy that starts the show off with " Worcester has some of the ugliest bitches I've ever seen". Patrice doesn't look healthy.

4. Bob Kelly : Bob was very funny. Shitting his pants and cleaning up piss w/ his socks bits were favorites of mine.

5. Ralphie May : Ralphie was better than I expected. A little hacky at times, but, he does have a presence and he's a funny motherfucker.

6. Bob Sagit : I was surprised by Bob too. I've heard him on the show and have heard his act is good, but, he was better than expected. That being said, too much full house shit and too much of that " That's bad I shouldn't have said that " ( That's terrible I'm sorry ) shit after his punch lines. His songs were funny.

7. Tracey Morgan : Tracey was good, but, he was in the unenviable position of following Jimmy at an O and A event. He was funny, but, the crowd wasn't into and it threw him off a bit. He DID do better following Jimmy than Dave Attell did in Boston. Dave just lost the crowd completly at the Orphium.

N/ A: Vos: I went to see Vos at the comedy connection in January and he killed. He hosted this show, so, I can't really judge him against the others. Though I did see him fall up the stairs before the show started which was fucking hysterical.

The Worcester paper had a picture today and said they will have a review ( www.telegram.com (http://www.telegram.com) ) in Mondays paper. They also had a positive, if inaccurate piece on O and A last Thursday. Also; for the past month they've had the show at the DCU adverstised w/ such acts as Jim Norton, Bill Burr, Patrice O'Neil and Rich VOX.

It was the first of many we're going to be doing all over the place and you learn a little with each one you do. What works and what doesn't and what needs to be tweeked and shit.

Not eveyone is going to think every comic is great either. It's kind of subjective. It would be impossible to get that many comics together and have everyone like them all.

From a behind the scenes point of view we were really happy with the way things went. You'd never know how big a disaster these can be on the trial run and this one really went off without any big glitches.

I'm glad for the most part everyone had a good time and even if you didn't like everything, that's cool too. This whole thing is just going to grow and get better and better with each one we do.

The closest market I have to terrestrial O&A is west palm. Jimmy will be coming down in October to do the Improv there. Is that going to be any kind of a trial run to see first hand what kind of effect the virus is having down there other than just looking at some numbers? I know the market is still very new, and I would understand not wanting to have a show and book a 5-10 thousand seat venue without evidence of doing well there.

And I know it would still be pretty far off, but the South East fans would love to get a show in our neighborhood.

Or how 'bout an autograph session with all of the comics after the show.

You obviously missed it at the larger merchandise booth afterwards

I like the fact they sold all of the merch in one place. Plus, I picked up a few of the new shirts and a Jimmy Day shirt, and also Vos's CD.

Actually they split Jimmy's shirts between two spots which sucked, because no one at the booth would tell you there were more designs on the other side of the stadium - plus they wouldn't put one of jim's designs out...

Paul got us booted from the backstage area because he was hounding people for pics after Kenny said "don't bother the talent". Didn't matter, sitting in an actual seat up front was better. Paul's still a retard.

Just to clear this up, JIMMY asked me to take some pictures of Saget, him and Patty - so i was just doing that when Kenny came over and told me to stop - he didn't hear Jimmy ask me, and he was doing his job. Not sure how you got booted, but it was only temporary anyway.

I had a fucking blast, it was nice meeting a lot of fellow pains-in-the-ass.
The pest booth was funny, great idea getting chicks to get wet shirts before the show.
The after-party at Seven was so-so, until my girlfriend yelled "You Sucked" at Tracy Morgan, then started making out with an oblivious me as a cover. That was "funny".
I'm gonna get shot because of her. Hopefully she can add more details later.
I'm sure the bar would've been more festive if the bartenders weren't just catering to the darkies and if the music selection wasn't reminiscent of Compton during Kwanzaa.
Worcester nightlife sucks. If you're hanging out in a city, and when others are talking about good bars to hang out in, and the word "Framingham" keeps coming up, you're in trouble.

I just got back from Wocester a little while ago; I had a great time meeting everyone and the entire show was awesome. The only thing was that Tracy Morgan wasn't himself both performance-wise and personally. We knew each other fine a couple years ago, the last time I ran into him...but when I greeted him last night, it was as if I were a stranger. He didn't recognize me at all, which kind of frightened me. I also noticed that during his performance, he seemed to lose track of his ability to communicate to the Audience. He could barely finish lines, and his transmission of thoughts were erratic and I just couldn't make sense of his set at all. I hope these aren't symptoms of classic substance abuse as that is the only explanation I can think of that might have explained what was going on with him.
I had alot of fun in the Petting Zoo, even if Paul has to learn to be a little more careful in his playfulness! He can get a little rough sometimes, but he means well in fun. I did get to throw a little hay back at him though(and that ain't "hay"..nyuk,nyuk,nyuk...I just made a Pat from Moonachie funny!)
I also got to meet Mr. Saget, and he actually said hi to me and shook my hand. I will never wash it again!! I am still STARSTRUCK as I type. He has been one of my idols since the eighties..and of course he KILLED in his set. I LOVED his Full House references..then again he could just stand there and recite Mary Had a Little Lamb, and I would still think he was brilliant!

If she can make Sonny seem normal for any amount of time, then she is a miracle worker. Very nice lady, and according to my girlfriend, she has nice shoes.
Good to see you again, fucker! (Sonny not Paul) (UP YOURS, BALE-THROWER!)

Well to tell you the truth, she trys hard to be a miracle worker, but I am too fucking far gone to be helped, the "normal" side of me is just an act. I really am a prick to her. Sometimes I wonder what she see's in my snide vulgar attitude. BTW, she said thanks for the compliment on the shoes :action-sm

Did Patti lose her virginity last night? Add this to the next village.

All I can tell you is we saw Patti having breakfast with a nice older gentleman when we checked out this afternoon

Patti, that's quite a little statement you are making there.

And if he didn't remember you from a few years ago, you probably didn't make that much of an impression, or he just wanted to forget it as soon as possible.:icon_wink

You know what, i've started to figure out this thing with the negative fans - it seems the local radio stations (especially WYSP - see thread in the main forum (http://www.wackbag.com/showthread.php?goto=newpost&t=49491)) are promoting this as an O&A roadshow, and not a comedy show...

I guess i'd be pissed if I expected T'n'A with O'n'A and got a bunch of comedians...

Just to clear this up, JIMMY asked me to take some pictures of Saget, him and Patty - so i was just doing that when Kenny came over and told me to stop - he didn't hear Jimmy ask me, and he was doing his job. Not sure how you got booted, but it was only temporary anyway.
I know, I didn't really care that much. Kenny seems to be a douche, and I'm judging by his demeanor of friday and saturday. He said "Don't bother the talent" so I grabbed a water and stood alone (away from paul, :icon_mrgr ) and just watched the big screen. Next thing I know he's pointing at me to leave. Plus the whole thing with him and Twitchels..... yeah, that's why no one will see pics of Twitchels being there.

Speaking of which... I wonder if Pat returned to the room to find his feet dangling off the floor E-Lo style.

Much thanks to O & A for an incredible show. Having been a die-hard fan for about 7 years now, it was phenomenal seeing that entire crew performing in one night.

I honestly enjoyed every set. Jimmy's set was absolutely fucking hysterical. I know some people are complaining because they've heard some of the material recently (Leno for ex.) but he put a new spin on the jokes and had a lot more to offer.

Patrice also destroyed. Like Jimmy, he is on fire onstage or on the radio. Bill Burr was strong as always, and Bob Kelly is really coming into his own as a star -- awesome set!

Never saw Ralphie May before, but he really suprised me with how good he was. Seeing Saget live was a blast, and Vos did a great job as emcee.

It was a great night.

You've got to remember Kenny is all business, and thats why they pay him to run the shows - he works his fucking ass off behind the scenes and just doesn't deal with anything that has the potential to fuck something up - trust me, we've had words in the past but i've learned he absolutely knows what the hell he is doing

Well, I had a great time meeting all the New England fans, especially the ones that threw/fed me candied-corn in the petting zoo whilst I acted like a total moron!:idiot: (who's acting??) ..don't worry, I didn't swallow!..no homo!
I finally got to meet the georgeous & lovely Cara From Myspace/Miss Virus 2006 (she's one tall glass of water...and I'm THIRSTY!..hrmpf, err, meh!
The comedians were great...although, if I knit-picked, I could find "something" to complain about!

Funny little story (strap in!):
I was by the dunking booth before the show and the clown (Hacko??:icon_mrgr ) said "Hey you, fat guy in the black shirt!.." and about 100 of us "fat guys in black shirts" looked at each other, wondering which one he was referring to!:icon_lol:

I can't wait until the Jersey shows, they're only going to get bigger and better!:)

P.S. I'm still picking hay out of my ass!...NO HOMO!

so... where was twitchels anyway?

Uhhh....ehhh... they might want to talk about it on the show and I don't want to roon it!..suffice it to say, he wasn't a "Happy Camper" :(

Just returned from my weekend in Massachusetts and figured I'd wade through the DCU thread to see what other people thought.

The usual wackbag salvos...This was great...this sucked...you suck for saying that sucked...blah blah blah.

Consensus from me and my group of 8: Great Stuff Overall, a few technical growing pains that will undoubtedly be worked out, and a few things that did, indeed suck.

Tracy Morgan -- Whether you liked him or not, the fact that a noticable chunk of people were streaming to the exits about 6 minutes into his set was telling. Not good for the closing act. Personally, I love Tracy's past work and was WAY looking forward to his set. And I thought he fucking blew...HARD

Miss Virus -- Should have been Miss Heinous. Just a horrible pace-killer for an already momentum-challenged crowd.

Everything else was at a minimum good and topped out at fucking great. Great job by all !!!!! (excepting Mr. Morgan of course)

Was that the turnout, or was that during a lull?
