Hey I was thinking that it might be cool sometime if Opie could have a special show on one of the music channels some night where gets to go back to his rock DJ roots and play some songs. He's expressed interest in doing just that on one of their FM stations, maybe XM should step up and offer him that opportunity. What do you guys think?

That sounds like a good idea. He definitely knows a lot about music and I think that if he played the stuff he liked- not just whatever is popular- he could get a lot of people who wanted to listen to something different and turn people on to different kinds of music.

and it could also bring other ppl into likeing The O&A show im sure just the negitive press has turned most ppl into not even wanting to give them a shot
i know when someone calls in and says that they just tell them to fuck off but if non of us gave them a shot back in there early days they wouldnt be where they are today

That would be really cool. I think Op is always up on new semi-underground music that kicks ass. Who knows mabe he'll show more initiative than Black Earl ever did and send a real tape in to E-Lo.

They should get an FM station to let him so he can promote the show, doing it on xm would be ok but doing it over FM makes more sence. Maybe do it the night before the traveling virus show. That way he knows it would be promoted a little locally.

Opie hosting a channel on XM, or hosting a show on FM by himself would be some serious promotion for the O&A show. Obviously he would mention the show every five seconds, but it would also give us asshats a reason to speculate.
[speculating asshat] Why is Opie hosting his own show on XM/FM? what does this mean? Are the Boys splitting up? Is O&A over? What's Anthony and Lil Jimmy gonna do without the O&A show? This Sucks, These guys are fucking failure assholes, they are gonna leave the show......blah blah fucking blah [speculating asshat]
