What I didn't get was the inside above the driver... plus I didn't get a chance to take some in daylight - check the link on OA.com for all the different angles

I am in and out of parking garages all the time, it's quite sickening how many people get flat tires, dead batteries, and lock their keys in their cars in a freaking parking garage, but the entrance to every garage i have ever been in has had the height restrictions sign on some kind of long hanging sign.
The bottom of the sign is the highest point a vehicle can be to enter.
Meaning, simply that if the sign moves when you go under it, stop your vehicle and back out of the garage, you are too big.
Number 2. The damage may not look bad, but you would be surprised to learn that fixing the roof on a conversion van can be in the thousands, and that is only if the laws governing collision repair facilities allows repairs on roofs.
Some states immediately total cars with damaged roofs based on safety regulations....
Also, if that roof is fiberglass, you can't just pull the dent and paint it, the whole piece of fiberglass needs to be replaced.
A steel roof is a little easier and cheaper to fix, but I haven't seen too many conversion vans that have steel roofs.

Atleast the damage was from a better reason than having fat men dance in their underwear on top of it.:icon_mrgr

Yeah me too. I was thinking maybe the roof was ripped off. That isn't too much damage. The wrap is what's going to hurt.

Do we have to take up a collection, or is Opie going to man up and open his plentiful wallet to rescue his brother again?

Why would they have the faces of the boys (especially Anthony's) on the crease or wedge of the top part of the van.

I looked inside the van and the roof appears to be an add-on, so it doesn't give any extra head room...another reason Elmo wouldn't expect there to be a problem with the height.

Atleast the damage was from a better reason than having fat men dance in their underwear on top of it.:icon_mrgr
Hey, I got an Inno out of it and someone's going to fix it for free!

Hey Pat, we were the last two to see that van in it's perfect condition. The ironic thing was Danny shittalking your beat to shit van after you dropped me off back by my car. The huge, cool van, Danny taunting you, htg waving to me... it really was like the launching of the Titanic.

Excuse me but doesn't insurance pay for the damage regardless of who was driving? Maybe the rules are different up there in yankeeville.

Up here in yankeeville, it is cheaper to pay out of your own pocket if you can.

I don't think insurance covers a custom graphic, that's what will be costly to replace.

The rules are probably the same, but if he drove into something and rooned it himself he's probably going to have to pay a deductible so the insurance may only wind up covering part of the damage and he still has to dip into his pocket. After that, they'll raise his rates because he's an "at-risk" driver. Over the next 3 years the difference in his increased rates will probably cost him quite a bit more than the amount it would cost him to pay out-of-pocket.

Insurance is a scam unless you total your ride or someone sues you for hundreds of thousands of dollars.

I don't blame Elmo. He didn't borrow Ziggy's van. Danny did. The only reason that Elmo was stuck driving was that Danny decided to get drunk instead of living up to his responsibility. It was Danny's responsibility to take care of the van. Not Elmo's.

If anybody needs to buck up to pay for this damage, it should be Danny. Not Elmo.

who was behind the wheel?

he accepted responsiblity once he took the keys.

If he didn't want the responsiblity, someone else would've stepped up.
