christ, i haven't thought about that band in years. i remember liking their music when i was doing a lot of drugs. i wonder if the music still holds up.

I can take someone saying they suck, I've never actually heard anyone say they're just ok. Because of how their sound is the can be pretty polarizing opinion wise. Check around youtube, there's some interesting performance footage of them on a flatbed during a WTO mini-riot in Europe.

They had a really cool sound. I haven't thought about them in years either. I wonder if I still have the cd floating around somewhere.

I caught them live with Roots and Beck on his Odelay tour. They got two girls playing keyboards and jumping around acting anarchy. While the guys were screaming and yelling "We Wanna See a RIOT!!!!" while the crowd was watching with the Butt-head Uh face, the music quit in mid track, those girls wasn't even playing the instruments, and they got pretty much booed off stage.

Great band, the black guy Carl Crack died a couple of years ago. Burn Berlin burn is by far their best CD. Alec Empires solo stuf is pretty sweet too.

The girls actually were playing samplers and twiddling other assorted knobs and such, so if those crap out, set goes bye-bye.
Went to that same tour with the Cardigans opening though. Went to only see ATR and promptly left afterwards after.
