Look I'm 22 years old so some of these names i have never heard if and I am not a KISS fan, but I think they are better than some of the names in here.
Examples: Wilson Pickett, Sam and Dave, Sly and the Family Stone, Martha and the Vandellas, The Shirelles, Gene Vincent, the Moonglows, Solomon Burke.

Does these guys have more than Kiss, I don't think so

Dude, if you don't know who some of these people are...expand your horizons and find out. Stop being an ignorant nobody.

It took Sabbath, Skynyrd, and the Righteous Brothers a long time to get in. I'm sure KISS will get in sooner or later.

Each one of these "Examples" are legends in their own right and have contributed to music way more than Kiss ever have, and I'm saying that as a Kiss fan.

Kiss belongs in the R&R HOF, but they're not musical pioneers (like the people you've never heard of) by a longshot.

Take the suggestion Hudson made. Why not give a listen to those other acts? You don't even have to spend the money on a CD. I'm sure you're savvy enough to engage in some illegal downloading.

Give it a shot, then let us know what you think.

Fuck the Rock-N-Roll Hall of Fame. . . commercial bullshit!!! Who gives a fuck if they get "in"? If you've sold millions of albums, banged chicks galore, and could sit down and not do jack-shit for the rest of your life and still die a millionaire. . . who gives a rat's ass what the H.O.F. does?

I'm sure KISS belongs in the pyro hall of fame but thats about it...musically they fucking suck they are all about facepaint, pyro and putting on a show thats it...best thing ever was a few years ago i had to sit through KISS to get to aerosmith..took like 45 minutes to erect then disassemble the stage the KISS needed to perform...aerosmith comes out striped down stage...a few neon signs in the background and jumps right into "Let the music do the talkin'" i couldn't have said it better myself...and as someone else said if you haven't heard of those other groups you really do need to expand your horizons a bit

Now that Sabbath is finally in, the next in line for glaring omission is Iggy & the Stooges. I think KISS can wait their turn. For another 30 years.

Don't look for fairness or some kind of logic from the HOF.

Iggy and the Stooges should absolutely be in before Kiss.
No Iggy and MC5, no punk pretty much.

Kiss will get in. There is no question in my mind about that. I'm not too much of a fan of their music but I understand the impact they had on rock music. If you are going to compare Kiss to Sam and Dave, Sly, Gene Vincent, wilson pickett and everyone else Kiss comes in dead last. Do some research and see what each group being inducted added to music. Then look at kiss. Kiss added the lunatic fans and merch. There was nothing special about their music itself.

Iggy needs to be in there and so do the MC5. I saw Iggy a few years ago on Randalls Island and he completely rocked the place (especially after the Strokes SUCKED). I saw Kiss in May... they didn't compare to iggy. I also saw the mc5 last summer. They need to be in the hall even though they dont have half the band.

How do you put in Iggy Pop?

"The Stooges" put out two records. (The Stooges, Fun House)
"Iggy and the Stooges" put out one record. (Raw Power)
"Iggy Pop" has put out plenty of records.

So does the HOF take the original lineup, or the James Williamson lineup (and many consider Raw Power the best of the first three).

MC5 definitely belong.

And what about Alice Cooper? I'm pretty sure he's not in. Would "The Alice Cooper Band" be inducted, or "Alice Cooper" which started his career with "Welcome to my Nightmare."

Then again, who gives a fuck if some writer cunts "legitimize" a band by voting it into the R&R HOF?

If you like the music, that's all that fucking matters.
