103.3 The Edge and foupons.com have requested the removal of this petition. I would like to thank all those who showed their great Western New York spirit in signing the petition.

However it was never my intention to cause such a division between the Edge listeners.

Foupons.com the host of this page spoke with The Edge and came to the conclusion that my page was doing more harm to the team at the edge then good.

Shredd & Ragan and Opie & Anthony are friends outside the radio waves and do not desire to have their listeners against each other. My simple wish was to get the Buffalo community to rally together to support a local Radio Team that has been with us for over a decade.

I would like to formally apologize to the Shredd & Ragan, The Edge, O&A and foupons.com for any problems this petition has caused.

Fix The Edge dot-com petition shut down
They local guy named Dan (no, it isn’t me) who is a big fan of “Shredd ‘N Ragan” who was publicly asking management of The Edge to put S&R back on in the morning by using an online petition has taken down the petition following requests by management of WEDG 103.3 FM and Citadel, The Edge’s parent company.

Basically, The Edge didn’t like the fact that there was tension being caused between the fans of their AM drive and PM drive shows.

Opie & Anthony fans are loving every minute of this. Shredd ‘N Ragan probably got their asses chewed out for not even doing anything.

Gotta love corporate radio, obsessed fans and the Internet. All three make our world a very interesting and entertaining place to live.

Shredd ‘N Ragan thought the petition was funny. They love the listener support but don’t want a battle between the fans of S&R and O&A.

S&R also talked about how O&A discussed the online petition during their show this morning. Evil Jim, S&R’s producer, said “there is nothing bad going on between the two shows.”

Ragan summarized it as a “misunderstanding” and Shredd said he wants to talk to Opie since the two of them used to work together on 103.3 FM when it was known as “The Fox” but Opie changed his phone number and Shredd doesn’t have the new number.

Fix The Edge dot-com petition shut down
They local guy named Dan (no, it isn’t me) who is a big fan of “Shredd ‘N Ragan” who was publicly asking management of The Edge to put S&R back on in the morning by using an online petition has taken down the petition following requests by management of WEDG 103.3 FM and Citadel, The Edge’s parent company.

Basically, The Edge didn’t like the fact that there was tension being caused between the fans of their AM drive and PM drive shows.

Opie & Anthony fans are loving every minute of this. Shredd ‘N Ragan probably got their asses chewed out for not even doing anything.

Gotta love corporate radio, obsessed fans and the Internet. All three make our world a very interesting and entertaining place to live.

He teased the idea that Opie might be calling into the show. That is what I expected... and was disappointed in their final explanation. They put on safe callers and people they knew were true S&R fans.

They skated over the idea that anyone of their guys were involved in plugging the site (Bull Radio). Shredd acted like he needed to call Opie's personal number, when he just could have called the CBS studio during a LIVE broadcast any morning to wish them back in Buffalo.

He only started a story, and it could have been taken as an O&A fan trying to get a reference in... Maybe they thought it would be easier to go with that angle than to go after a bad caller.

S&R isn't a horrible show, but there's a reason why they're in Buffalo and only Buffalo.

I don't understand the reasoning behind the idea of syndicating their show out.. Their whole appeal is goofing on local news.. I could maybe see them in Rochester and Erie, PA.. but that's about the extent. Who else wants to hear Bills /Sabres updates?
